Always difficult to guess the number of scholarships we have in football with so much change every year, including missionaries coming and going. I'm sure there are others that have been offered that we haven't picked up on through social media sources. There has to be more OL that have been offered. Getting Whitmer at TE would be a big get and would answer any questions we have about the TE position next season.
 
I think we have filled most of the available grants. There could still be some missionaries to sign and possibly one more. They didn't have many grants to give and tried to go after high quality, impact sorts of players. I think they have done that.

I think Ricky Manning projects out to be an OLB, more than a DB. OLB wasn't one of our most pressing needs. However, he is a very good athlete and should do well at NAU. He was recruited by UI as well. I wish him nothing but the best. He looks like a good kid to me. :thumb:

At least 2 committed and 3 still uncommitted on the list had/have offers from FBS programs. It really says something about the state of the program when kids are picking Weber over FBS.

And that speed translates to big hits! Some huge hits in his highlights.
 
I have no idea how it will all shake out, but there are several of these guys who have a chance to contribute right out of the gate. We really won't know until summer camp. This class is not high in numbers, but it is certainly high in quality.

Add these guys to what we already have and it looks like we will be even stronger next fall. Here's hoping for a GREAT, GREAT, GREAT off season. :coffee:

Can't get all the good ones, but maybe Coach passed on these guys and they took the next best option. No matter, this is looking like a special class. Personally, what would take this class from awesome to absolutely amazing would be the commitment of Jacob Whitmer.

Agreed. I think I hit the end of the Twitter-verse trying to figure out who still has an offer. We have a good class. Just need a couple studs to step up at a few open positions.
