Picks vs the spread:

Idaho State over Div II Western Colorado
Sac (+35.5) over Arizona St
EWU over Lindenwood
PSU over Simon Fraser
Washington St (-36.5) over Northern Colorado
SUU (+24.5) over Northern Iowa
UCD (-16.5) over San Diego
CP (+14.5) over WSU (Weber wins by 10-14)
SE Missouri St (+6.5) over MSU
Idaho over Central Washington
Montana (-24.5) over North Alabama
Arizona over NAU

4-3 ATS, 9-3 Overall

Conference goes 3-1 vs FCS, including a very good win by Montana St over 12th ranked SEMO. If MSU jumps into the Top 10, the conference will have 4 Top 10 ranked teams. Conference now an impressive 6-1 vs FCS on the season. 0-11 vs FBS, and 5-0 vs Non-D1. 2-1 in MVFC Challenge.

Troy Andersen's stat line vs SEMO: 102 yards rushing on 6 carries, 2 rushing TDs, 2 solo tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 1 sack, 1 pass breakup, and 1 QB hurry.

Sorry Weber, I like all the favorites. Wildcats just haven't shown they can get over the hump versus FBS. Please prove me wrong. A little surprised EWU is favored by that much and that MSU isn't favored by more. Could see the conference go 4-0 versus FCS, which would put them at 10-1 on the season.

No faith in SUU even though SFA is bad.
MSU drops this one on the road against an underwhelming WIU
Weber with the upset.

If I were the betting type, I would bet against the spread on EWU, CP, and WSU for sure; however, I don't see CP or Weber getting wins.
I wouldn't be surprised if SUU lost or certainly won a closer game.
It also wouldn't surprise me if PSU kept it closer than 31.5.
Oregon looks pretty good but I could see UM keeping it under 25 as well.

Every season there seems to be a surprise team in the conference like UC Davis last season and SUU the season before. PSU looking like they might be that team this season.

Just picking spreads here, not necessarily winners

Jacksonville St. (+13.5) over Eastern Washington
MSU (-3.5) over Western Illinois
Utah (-36.5) over Idaho State
Oregon St (-17.0) over Cal Poly
Wyoming (-25.0) over Idaho
Nevada (-9.0) over Weber State
SUU (-7.5) over Stephen F. Austin
Sac St (-5.5) over Northern Colorado
Lehigh (+37) over UC Davis
Portland State (+31.5) over Boise St
Oregon (-36.5) over Montana

I gave CP too much credit, and not enough for OSU-- 7-45.
Not sure if the pUkes experimented and gave a lot playing time to backups, but I'm surprised ISU kept it to 31.
Jacksonville St. overcomes a 7-28 first Q to beat EWU 49-45 in regulation.
Weber always seems to have a mistake or two keeping them from taking control or or winning these fBS teams. At half, they've played pretty good but they need to dig deep and play mistake-free football. I hope they can adjust defensively to take away all the success Nevada is finding in the middle of the field.

UNC is getting throttled by Sac St. While Sac St looks improved from a season ago (firing Sears alone would greatly improve any team), I'm always left wondering who's bright idea it was to invite the bumbling bears into this conference. They're an embarrassment.

So after another less than stellar outing by the offense and some scores from ween 3, I’m thinking this has the potential of being a bad year. Montana is slowing Oregon’s offense a lot better than Nevada did, but Weber made Nevada look amazing on defense. Sac State has a coach already turning them around, and Idaho played Wyoming tough. Weber State will have a tough time putting any team away.

I think UNI is really good, so we will see what that game tells us, but they look good against Iowa State, and quite frankly I wouldn’t feel comfortable against the neighborhood flag football team with the offensive scheme Weber State runs.

Here’s hoping for another Herculean season from the D and special teams. When you think how the D gets no help, it makes their efforts even more impressive.

Yeah, I've not been looking forward to UNI, I think it has the makings to expose Weber as an over-ranked team. I think the D is solid but not as good at the last couple of years. Regardless, it's going to be difficult to beat quality teams when you can't move the ball. For the most part the BSC looks improved and tough, I'm worried about their playoff chances this year.
