2019 Big Sky Games

WEEK 13

Sat, Nov 23
UM (-5) @ MSU #
SUU @ UND (-12) #
CP (-3.5) @ UNC #
UI @ NAU (-3) #
ISU @ WSU (-20.5) #
PSU @ EWU (-14) #
UCD @ Sac (-9.5) #

# Big Sky Conference Game

MSU - UM has been playing well, but so has MSU. Bobcats at home and make it 4 wins in a row over the Griz.
UND - Hawks cruise and wait to see if they'll be a playoff team.
UNC - Poly loses it's 7th straight.
NAU - UI hasn't won on the road all season.
WSU - Might be closer than expected due to Weber injuries but Wildcats beat the Bengals for the 5th straight time and 32nd time in the last 35 meetings.
EWU - Eagles win big.
Sac - Sac rolls at home to be co-champs.

UM (-5) @ MSU #
Montana State still lacks a QB and a quality win. Montana is likely going to expose how overrated they have been all year.

SUU @ UND (-12) #
SUU will put a scare into UND and then find a way to lose the game.

CP (-3.5) @ UNC #
The game nobody cares about.

UI @ NAU (-3) #
Cookus goes out with a big game.

ISU @ WSU (-20.5) #
Pocatello State continues the crawl back to mediocrity. Weber puts in all the subs in the second half.

PSU @ EWU (-14) #
Battle for the middle of the conference. EWU has more pride and tradition.

UCD @ Sac (-9.5) #
SAC surges to the playoffs and beats an inconsistent UC Davis team.

No upsets.

:wtf: UM@MSU shows on the guide for AT&T Sportsnet but the Virginia/Liberty game is on and WatchBigSky/Pluto doesn't even list the game. :willybs:

Montana State up 10-0 in the first quarter. Montana turns the ball over on a fumble on the first play from scrimmage and then goes 3 and out.

17-0, the Bobs doing to the Griz what the Griz did to Weber.

UM a huge 2nd half team, though, this is far from decided like it was with Weber.

And now 17-0 after 3 Montana drives with a total of 7 plays for 6 yards.

41-14 in the 4th. It's over! Even though MSU probably on a playoff collision course with Weber, I'm not sure we're looking forward to it.

Wow, didn't see MSU winning that big. That's going to hurt Griz for awhile.

Neither did I, but I guess their Defensive coordinator had never seen a counter, reverse or a pulling guard before. :thumb:

I felt pretty sure the Cats would win but didn't know it would be that big

PLAYOFF 2ND ROUND

Sat, Dec 7
Kennesaw St @ Weber St (-10)
SE Louisiana @ Montana (-11)
Albany @ Montana St (-9.5)
Austin Peay @ Sacramento St (-13)

Kennesaw St @ Weber St (-10)
Weber wins this they way the always do. Grinding it out on defense and doing just enough on offense. Probably cover the spread, but most importantly Wildcats win.

SE Louisiana @ Montana (-11)
Wa Griz is too much for SELA. Griz headed to Ogden.

Albany @ Montana St (-9.5)
I really want to pick Albany in an upset, but I felt like CCSU just folded up and quit after losing the lead to Albany. Bobcats won't be as mentally weak. Should be a close game though.

Austin Peay @ Sacramento St (-13)
Hard to get a read on this one as well. Austin Peay won big, but Furman looked weak. I think the Hornets defense will be too much.

I would love to see all of our BSC teams advance. All at home, so that has a good chance of happening. However, at this point in the year, anything can happen. :coffee:

If I had to pick an upset it would be in the UM game.

I tend to agree although I do wonder about Montana State. If the game script goes awry early they seem really susceptible. People talk down about our passing game but MSU’s is completely lifeless. They are coming off the dismantling of Montana so I think they’re a bit overrated by decency bias right now. All that said, I have a lot of doubts about Albany.

I don’t know much about Austin Peay but it sounds like their strength is run defense, which isn’t that important against Sac State. I think Sac rolls.

Difficult to pick these games as we don't really know much about the opponents. I'll take all the Big Sky teams due to being at home and all the spreads being rather large. Of all the games I think Albany might give MSU the biggest challenge. But I'm only really basing that on the fact that Albany plays in one of the better conferences and won big in the 1st round. A little surprised at the spread for Sac St after AP won big in the first round. I'll be cheering for all the conference teams, even with it being hard for me to cheer for the Griz. Time to see how good the conference really is.
