2022 Eastern Football Recruiting Class LOI Dec 15th & Feb 2nd 18 Total

Looks like Cunningham (JC LB) signed elsewhere. I'm hoping that Best misspoke yesterday about losing Cale Lindsay, but with the push for transfer LB's I think we may be pretty light there going into next season. Glad we got the big transfer yesterday. I agree Clawman, kind of eerie that we lost sight of our in-state kids a bit. I'm hoping we get more in the second signing period.

I'm wondering what the anticipated size of this class was supposed to be. We lost a lot of seniors on senior day, possibly a few more leaving for grades, personal reasons, "better opportunities", but on the other hand it was the Covid year with a lot of hangover in the program with the extra year. It will be interesting to see how things look in the next couple of months.

I think a lot of programs are struggling with who will stay and who will go... Might have been a clearer line if there were more signees. There are still some good LB targets left in the portal. Liked the Nevada player. He didn't have a lot mileage on the tires (if that makes sense) so hope he comes in healthy and hungry. Good in coverage. Looking for the 6'5" WR to sign. Fingers crossed.

Spokesman article confirms we are losing Lindsay at LB along with Warren, Graham and Sendlebach who we knew we would be losing to graduation.

Sorry to hear about Lindsay, he was coming into his own. It's a grind and takes it's toll. Like Best said, how many degrees can someone get?

Lots of room for all the RS Freshman to step up. Was MJ Cunningham a miss? I see he got a Alabama A&M offer but doesn't say he's committed. Did Eag's pull back the offer?
If he does what he said, will likely declare today or tomorrow. Hope he see's the opportunity in front of him.

Perhaps I misread and it was just an offer from A@M. I'll have to try to go back and look.

Collins Hill looked pretty good on defense particularly. They have the #1 CB who signed with Jackson St (I think that's what you meant) Know GK had some size on both lines, will be interesting to see them stacked up against a very solid Collins Hill. I fell asleep watching the Championship. Thought Milton would win as their season schedule was more difficult. Their HS looks like an Ivy League campus. Collins Hill has about 5K students and is a perennial state wrestling champion. For those interested, included the highlights; Collins Hill looked fast. Honestly, if they played 10 times, Milton wins 8. GK should be glad they're getting CH instead. I will say, they aren't headed to Vegas to lose the last "game" of the season. GK better get their head right. CH can be run on, that's a GK strength.

“You want your kids to be ready to play but you also have to give them that end of the year reward,” he said. “You don’t want to make it a miserable, two-a-day practice type experience.”
GK Coach

I couldn't disagree more. If GK cares about the mentality of their 2022 team, laying an egg on national TV won't help. No skin in the game for me, don't care for Gwinnett teams (GA) but they perennially fill college programs with players.

Jaelin Green signed yesterday. Really good looking player. 6'5" 4.5 forty (per HUDL)... I can see him in the line up sooner than later extending the field of play with that Randy Moss-esque physique. :D Not sure why he doesn't have a .83+ rating because he looks the part to me. Maybe he doesn't block well, can't tell in the highlights.

That's a good pick up that I wasn't aware of. He's a pretty darn good OL and will definitely help that unit improve.

Quite a game for GK and Wood. Waiting to see the last second... What a goofy call. GK wins. Wood played out of his mind. (I think I saw his agent cross the field with a satchel of money)

Lucky, watched that game as well. That last play that won the game sank my heart (if you know what I mean)...ha. There was many a good player on both sides and shows that of the two state champions WA St.. can ball. Great high school game!

Caught a lot of the game. When GK abandoned the run (mostly) I thought it was over for them. So many drops by their receivers was hard to watch. Wood played like he knew it was his chance to find a Big 5 offer and he stacked up well against Horn, who is going to Missouri. Trolled down Wood's twitter feed and he doesn't mention EWU in his profile. Broadcaster's mentioned Eastern several times. Will say the #1 CB/WR from Collins Hill was amazing as well.

Last play as time runs out to win the game. Great win. More Gage Gabrud than EB3 or VA ;-)

Why do these "analysts" take the low road? I believe that the Eastern coaches were completely happy to see Josh Wood and his team perform well yesterday. Expect them to remind Wood they saw him for what he was first amongst all the schools out there and let the chips fall where they may :D The cupboard is not bare at EWU.

(no surprise this guy works the Bulldog beat... clueless)
