A little NAU revenge - 2/26/2011

Ooops:

The second tiebreaker is performance against conference teams in descending order.

The third tiebreaker is the RPI on the morning of Thursday, March 3, will be used to determine the No. 1 seed and host because the first two tie-breaking procedures the Big Sky implements would not break the tie.

Montana and UNC split with WSU.
Montana swept MSU but split with EWU.

We swept both EWU and MSU so we look to take the tiebreaker.

Go Bengals. I have heard that if it is a three way tie Weber will host because we swept NAU.

Yeah, if UNC loses then WSU gets the tiebreaker.

WildKyle I wouldn't get your hopes up. Ha ha. UNC played one of their worst games at home vs ISU and still won by double digits. As someone who doesn't like to count their chickens before they hatch, I still think UNC will be just fine.

All 30 students rush the court? :?

B Dog, there were way more than 30 students. Both student sections were full and a lot don't sit in the student section.

It was a sold out game!

Oh, I know. Even on the internet you could tell the place was packed and rockin'. I was poking fun that it looked like about 30 kids rushed the court and that was all.

Sorry wildkyle, I doubt there will be a threeway. The Bears are in the drivers seat. I don't see this team choking in Idaho or even think of a choke at the Butler. I don't know where the 30 students comment came from but it was near capacity and a whole lot of fun!! Go Bears!!!
P.S. also great to see Football Coach Collins there cheering on. I have been telling everyone that this guy exudes excitement and is going to change the attitude around here !!

Wow, I regret saying 30 students. I know it was packed, but it looked like only about 30 kids rushed the court. It was a joke people.

Capacity crowd of 2,755.

I thought you guys got 5,000 to a couple games last year

where will the tourney be held?? In Greeley, Loveland??

We did get 3,192 for Colorado State. The listed capacity is 2,734 so I am not sure what the real capacity is.

The tournament would be held in a relatively new arena in Loveland. Its called the Budweiser Event Center, which can seat about 5,000. It is about 15 mins west of Greeley and it's right off the I-25.

They really seem to have no room for expansion either. I can't imagine where they would put more seats.

Didn't Boyle have bleachers brought in last year or something?

Maybe this success wil help stir up a new arena. Hopefully NoCo doesn't fall off the map
with all the Seniors leaving.

Is there any plans for new arena???

I know NAU and Sac are closer to getting something in the future?

That's a shame. I would rather have it at a packed Butler than a half empty Loveland arena.
