Y'all will see the second coming of Tim Flanders in the form of Ridgeway Frank! He is better than Flanders ever was.

What the hell kind of name is that?! Last name first, first name last? Sheeeeeiitttt, give him the ball all day. He might score for us! Seems confused....

I look for the Kats D to dominate in this game. This may be the best defense that SHSU has ever fielded, and that's saying a lot. Ya'll have some talent on that team but Adams most likely is gunna be running for his life most of the game! 45-21 SHSU.

If everything I've been reading about your defense is true then I think this will be a close game. That said, I doubt you score 45 points on us with a new starting QB running a new offensive system. It usually takes a couple games or so for even the most talented players to get into a groove when they're learning a new system. And holding us to 21, at home? GTFOH...Nobody has been able to do that the past 4 years, not sure why you think it's going to happen Saturday.

Don't worry, good things happen when Adams runs. He will live, and win the game! 38-35 Eagles (coming down to the wire, SHSU misses a field goal at the end to send the game into OT, and ESPN decides on the basis of this extremely exciting game to make this an annual tradition).

But seriously, of course your defense is going to look great when going up against an offense replacing it's starting QB, RB, half of its WRs, and learning a new system.

Look 0-3 against SHSU and 2 of those were at your place. Yes, Yes, you are all going to say that we are replacing a lot and you are correct. However, When we have gone unbeaten against the Big Sky the last 3 years and have beaten champion after co-champion! What makes you think this will change, this will be the best team that EWU has ever faced!

Games played in the past have absolutely zero relevance or impact on the outcome of future games. What you said is borderline retarded. Please stop before you go full retard.

Is your DC new as well as the new staff on the O side of the ball?

DC Collins is not new. He was DC LY. However, the defense was sketchy LY so Keeler added Coach Sherrod as Co-DC. He looks to be mainly coaching LBs to me.

OK so I fully understand...
-SHSU has a new head coach
-and a new offensive system
-and a new offensive coordinator
-and lost several "stars" from last years 8-4 team
-Last years"sketchy" defensive performance prompted the new head coach to change the position to co-DC by adding another new coach.
RU with me so far??
You are playing the almost unanimous #1 team in FCS at their house,
-that has a stable coaching staff
-same offensive system as last 5 years
-returning virtually all of their "stars"
-deep on experience at all defensive positions
-with several defensive players poised to be all Americans and or on the Buchanan watch list.
OK now WHY will this be a competitive game?

All of those things you mentioned mean nothing when:
1. You have not ever been able to get passed SHSU.
2. Your defense is weak and it will show.
3. Because didn't you know EVERYTHING is bigger in TEXAS!

I'm not trying to troll, just state an opinion.

It's clear that experience across the board and the (current) best QB on the field is 100% in your favor. I agree that your players have talent as I've seen most up close. But in all honesty, we've got some guys that are on a whole different level potentially. This is why I feel that the game will be competitive if not SHSU pulling off an upset. 45 days ago I would not have predicted the latter. But based on what I've seen, I will be shocked if it's not close.

All the pressure is on #1/2 EWU this time. Eagle SHOULD beat the Kats. I, too, think Adams will have to make some "Johnny Football" plays to win the game. He's been known to do that in the past (but apparently that doesn't matter :D ) and there have been times he hasn't made those plays.

Me thinks THAT will be the difference Saturday. I do agree this rivalry should be renewed for at least another 2 years. Great programs, great talent & hopefully a GREAT game.

 I do think this game will be very competitive. But this is a new year, and out of the three games you guys have won against us, last year, you guys dominated us. I will give you that. The year before, in the playoffs, if we had a different QB in the first half, I think the outcome likely would have been different, as I doubt we would have been shut out. You guys almost lost that game in the second half. I think it is was clear from that game that we "could have" won. It wasn't a domination except for the first half. Finally, the first game you beat us was more us losing the game. We were up three scores, and changed the defensive scheme to early to try to protect the win, rather than remaining aggressive. We don't do that, we win the game. All of the stars aligned on that comeback win in 2004!

So, the Bearkats have won all three, but this is a new year, and your teams, except for once, haven't really been dominant against our school. You may win this one. I hope our team isn't taking you as lightly as many in the football world. I really don't know what to expect. I think a solid coach can have just as much positive impact as a great QB, and your team could play very well under his game planning and leadership. Your recruiting, transfers, and bench strength may prove that you have a lot more talent than you are getting credit for. It's easy to look at what a team lost. But it's harder to quantify what you have gained. You've seen good things in your scrimmages, but those don't really tell you what gametime football will really be like. This will be a much bigger unknown regarding SHSU than it will be for EWU.

And keep in mind that EWU has only lost four times in the Inferno (aka, since getting the red turf). Two of those times were by less than an touchdown in the playoffs, both of which were just a play or two from going the other way. You are coming to our house! I think your streak stops here!

I'm having a hard time believing this "Our defense is the best ever!" shenanigans. SHSU is returning three starters to their defense. THREE. That's a whole lotta inexperience, and it will show.
