"Possible March Madness Upsets" from CBS Sports. UNC is the first team mentioned.

That was a pretty thin arguement.

"They are an experienced team and are in the tournament"?
SDSU is just as experienced and they also happen to be in the tournament.

Hi everyone, another Aztec fan here. I am actually glad you guys beat us in 2008. DJ Gay, our starting point guard clearly remembers getting booed at home in that game in front of about 4,000 fans. He said it hurt.

Things are a little different this year with every conference game sold out and SDSU playing with over 12K in the house.

I know NCU has a great team (congrats on whooping Montana by the way) but they will have their hands full Thursday. I would take NCU with the points if I had to bet on it but it will be hard to overcome being a 15 point underdog.

I think what he was getting at was that SDSU might fold under the pressure of being expected to do well in the tournament for the first time ever... But yeah, pretty thin argument lol

This is also a pretty thin argument lol, but obviously the smart money is on SDSU in this game. Also, we're UNC not NCU

Hey Aztec fan, looks like we are both looking for our first tournament win!! Aztecs have really outmanned most of their opponents this year, but if they take our Bears lightly they will set themselves up for an upset. I believe our Bears can play with most anybody and won't be intimidated. Good luck this afternoon and GO BEARS!!!!

Game will be at roughly 2:30 Mountain time on TNT. Kevin Harlan, Reggie Miller and Dan Bonner will be the commentary crew.

Game time is 30 minutes after the end of the PSU Temple game which starts at 12:10 Mtn time. Expected start time will be 2:40 unless the 1st game goes overtime.

I'm sure you guys have seen this article but just in case here you go.

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...le-what-its-like-to-be-a-potential-cinderella

you have a very classy coach.

Thanks Jeff. I think we're lucky to have him too. If we play our best we will give you guys a good run. I think you're going to focus your defense on Devon, and you're a very good defensive team so our other guys will have to step up. They have before and I'm confident they will on Thursday.

I hope that when the Aztecs put all their pressure on Devon, the other guys that are known to be great shooters show their stuff. I remember watching a highlight film of Garnica hitting shots all over the court. We could use his magic on Thursday. Unruh can also hit 3's like crazy and Kingman has the touch to make every shoot he takes. Lloyd can be awsome at times, so if they hold Devon to around 20 we could still come up with some big numbers from the other guys outside the paint. Proctor always gives all he has plus more, and Taylor can be very tough on the inside showing he can rebound with the best of them. We might even see Addo come alive and be the guy that makes everyone take notice so I look for us to have a good chance to come out of this thing with a good feeling.

Probably this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=icQZi610VvI&feature=related" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
He's hitting contested 28 footers

This worked for the Montana game, maybe it will bring us luck:

Go Bears!

ESPN's "Best Case" for UNC: "Riding a blazing shooting display by guard Devon Beitzel (averaging 26.5 points in his past nine games), the Bears position themselves to upset massive favorite San Diego State. Beitzel is fouled late in a tie game and the 90 percent free throw shooter swishes two to make Northern Colorado's first-ever NCAA tournament game one for the ages. Bears lose next game, but nobody cares. Beitzel becomes bigger than Tim Tebow and Troy Tulowitzki combined in Colorado (but not necessarily bigger than 12 inches of fresh powder at the ski resorts). Delirious fans e-mail former coach Tad Boyle at his new job in Boulder, telling him that he should have stayed in Greeley if he wanted to go to the NCAA tourney."

"Worst Case": "Bears get stage fright and get blown out by the Aztecs, trailing by 10 at the first media timeout and never getting any closer. Beitzel shoots 5-for-20 and returns to being as anonymous as the average ski-lift operator in Vail. Boyle e-mails Northern Colorado fans and reminds them of the quality-of-life difference between Boulder and Greeley."

We're the only #15 who's "best case" is actually winning a game. Could be worse I guess

Yeah, fans who think we're just a one man team will be very surprised at the over all talent we do have. If they're buckling down on Devon I wouldn't mind seeing more minutes out of Unruh and Garnica. Those to provide a nice scoring punch. And just think, we've got three more years with those two!
