QB and WR, with the team running the spread we will need at least two more if not three more WR. Another OL would help as well. The defense will most likely have to wait until next year.

I think you are spot on.

On defense they need to get at least one JC DB--they are very thin at CB.

Question concerning recruiting and the OL.....i've always thought it was a pretty easy plan....the O Line HAS to be able "keep them off the QB when we are throwing" AND "create holes when we are running".....so my question to you folks is....do we have the personnel BUT they just haven't been coached correctly?...or we back in the search for the annual..."We will get bigger, faster, stronger mantra" that we have heard each year for a lot of years.........i'm curious for your guys' thoughts.........

McCarthy to EWU

Got some info from my bro inlaw yesterday. He was on a flight to California and ran into a couple possible future players for ISU. He also got some more info about a possible drop down? He did sit by one of the Utah 1-A teams head coaches and I know they talked. I will try to get all the good info and share. I need to call him back and get the story.

So I talked with him and he gave me a few names that will hopefully sign? I will let Cub know and he can do his research on them and go from there.

Five new commitments listed above. These are strong verbals from multiple sources--including social networking sites. Remember, verbals are non-binding and a recruit does not become official until national letter of intent day.

Thanks for the update. Will there be a signing party, dinner, etc next month?

Here are the signing day activities scheduled:

Pocatello: February 2nd, 5:30 p.m. at the Red Lion Hotel. Appetizers will be served.
Idaho Falls: February 3, 11:30 a.m. at the Hardhat Steakhouse & Grill.
Twin Falls: February 4, 5:30 p.m. at Jaker’s Bar & Grill. Appetizers will be served.
Boise: February 5, 5:30 p.m. at the Crane Creek Country Club. Appetizers will be served

you need to RSVP to Donna Hays if you plan to attend. Please see the other thread about signing day events.

Skippy, I just wanted everyone to know that the information is a little off. That's the information that Jeff Tingey had put in his recent letter. But Donna Hays just recently sent a letter to Foundation members stating that Kramer will be in Idaho Falls at the Hardhat on February 3 at 11:30, but he will be in Twin Falls at Jaker's later that evening on the 3rd at 5:30 pm. And he'll speak here in Boise on Friday, February 4 at 5:30 pm at Crane Creek. Maybe Donna can re-verify this info, but I'm pretty sure this is the correct info and I didn't want anyone to show up somewhere when he won't be there.

I put this in the other thread, but here it is again...and you need to RSVP if you're showing up.

Here's a list of football signing events being sponsored by the ISU Bengal Foundation.

Wednesday 2/2 Pocatello Red Lion Inn (5:30)

Thursday 2/3 Idaho Falls lunch at Hardhat Steakhouse(11:30 am)

Thursday 2/3 Twin Falls Reception at Jakers (5:30pm)

Friday 2/4 Boise Reception at Crane Creek Country Club
(5:30pm)

Everyone is invited to ANY event, but please RSVP to Donna Hays at the Bengal Foundation office by this Friday regarding the event(s) you'll be attending.

Jim Bagley 6'5 280 O-Lineman from Rocky Mountain High School in Meridian committed last night according to his dad. On youtube search for jbags78 and you will see clips from all of his games.

I know Bags, my son played optimist football with him. He played on my defensive line, this gets me excited. Nice kid and good family.

:D This is good news!

Lots of chatter around the internet... I'm cautiously optomistic. Although, I don't like some of the programs ISU is going head to head with: CWU, Montana Tech, etc.

For who? Preferred walk-ons?

Bagley also had an offer from Wyoming, and it's nice when we can beat out a Mountain West school for a kid. So with Rocky Mountain kids Altringer and Bagley committing to ISU, I wonder if their friend and teammate, RB Jordan Deck will soon be playing for the orange and black as well!

Idaho Falls High School Standout Collin Andrus has given his verbal to Mike Kramer to play football for ISU.

Collin is an outstanding young man and athlete. 6'4" and around 235-240 right now, OL type. Plays B- Ball now.

He will take an LDS mission in Nov 2011 and be back for the 2014 season so his clock will not start until 2014.

This is a good get for Kramer for he has shown interest again in SE Idaho. Nice to see.

He offered another young man in Marcus Polling from Idaho Falls High. WR/ RB/ DB type however Marcus has decided to go ARMY WAY...congrats to Marcus. Another fine young man. . Good Athlete.

So with Josh Cutler from Highland and Andrus. Kramer has made a statement in SE Idaho.
