NDSU is at -20 1/2 points on 5 dimes.
And how do you think the spread got to that point?

That is nuts! Any real Bison fan should not feel very confident with the Red Bird Air Force coming to town after the miscues we did to ourselves in letting CSU stay close in that game over a week ago. Still CSU is a strong team, but we killed ourselves with terrible penalties, and special teams punting was horrific so field position killed us many times.
So that being said after this passed weekend and the 3 almost 4 major FCS upsets, I don't know how the hell its .-20points.
Bison have to show they ARE Back with a solid performance, and if Eagles get on the board first playing catch up with them scares me. I want to see our run game dominate your defense, pound it, then throw over the top when they are expecting run. Our Defense must get off the field but Kupps is going to have 100 yards, if we can keep him down to below 80 I will be happy, we should win. Sounds terrible but fact is he is averaging 120 yards a game minimum from what I can see so got to be real here.
This game has lots of intrigue no doubt.
I have to trust our defense, but yet our offense must do their job to show we can score too with power run so who knows?
Vegas - odds should be down to -7 for the Bison and that's it. -20 points is ridiculous. Maybe -3. Any top 12 team can beat a top 5 team, but beating the "Bison at the Fargo Dome is a hard chore to do. And the noise may affect communication for passing game for Eagles more then they anticipate? Didn't seem to bother them though in Pullman?
Who the hell knows? Lets just get to Saturday.

Love the matchup.

Bisman, what else can you tell us about your team? How many different running backs will we see on Saturday? What's the word on the middle LB that has been out with injury?

Nick Deluca WILL play vs EWU, his shoulder wasn't bad, just popped out last week.

Running Backs are King Frazier (Nebraska transfer from 2 years ago, big bruiser) he had game winning touchdown last week and Bruce Anderson a Soph who is big, strong and fast.

Senior Chase Morlock is more of the Fullback type..

Every new team into the Fargodome struggles with the noise, it just is, Charleston Southern last week was helped by the fact it was only 3-0 into halftime so the crowd never truly got rolling.

Let us remember an average Montana team beat NDSU (at Montana) and an under average U. of South Dakota Coyotes (5-6) team beat them in Fargo last season. Now it's our turn!

#2 OVERALL NFL DRAFT PICK CARSON WENTZ had a bum ankle vs Montana and Broke his freakin wrist vs South Dakota. even with that, they were both last second losses, but that's fine 72-5 instead of 74-3 is just the same with 5 Title Rings. right?

Hey Bisman, You stated earlier that you hope to keep Kupp to 80 yards.

All Kupp has done to warrant the success is score 11 touchdowns receiving in four games versus the Pac-12 on a total of 40 catches for 716 yards. That's an average of 17.9 yards per catch and a TD every 3.6 grabs against the four Pac-12 schools in the Pacific Northwest – Washington State, Washington, Oregon and Oregon State.

Why do you think the Bison can do that?

Just caught this in a Spokesman article. It looks like we will be going into the game healthy!

Eastern is ranked eighth in this week’s STATS Top 25 poll, up six spots from last week. … The Eagles came out of the WSU game unscathed, but nose tackle Matt Sommer is questionable for North Dakota State with a knee injury suffered during fall camp. … The Eagles practice again on Wednesday and Thursday before flying Friday via charter to Fargo, N.D.

They are probably watching last years tape of the Cal Poly game. Kupp was held to his lowest yardage total by a lot. That being said, EWU still scored 50 points and won. If this young line can give Gage time, and we can get a little more balance between the run and pass to keep their defense a little more off balance, we have plenty of other weapons. Bourne, Hill, and Splendorio would likely be the top receiver on most other teams in the FCS if not competing for receptions with Kupp and each other.

Snooze. We've heard this before and I have it on good authority that the Fargo Dome ain't as loud Washington Grizzly Stadium...even with the advantage of having a roof.

Kalm, you are saying that the Fargo dome is neither loud nor cold? #NotLoudAndCold? Or #CalmAndTemperate if you will.

In my very humble opinion based on my small sample of experiences, Autzen was slightly better than WA Griz which was better than Martin. Looking forward to see how the Fargo dome compares.

Wentz was healthy for 3 quarters before his ankle injury, but keep using that excuse for why you guys got beat. Your defense just couldn't stop Montana. :coffee:

Finally went out to the Bison board. Lots of action. The EWU game thread is loooooong, but the good stuff starts on thread page 11 after the WSU game... read and enjoy

http://www.bisonville.com/forum/showthread.php?37262-EWU-Pregame-Thread/page11

Summary, they know their defensive backfield will be tested, have to keep our offense off the field and plan on hitting Gubrud early and often. Will say after re watching the WSU game, our left tackle will need to see the blitz a little better or it could be a long afternoon for Gage. Won't go into more specifics here, just know that our coaches have moved the needle for the players going into this week and expect them to be even better. Go Eags.

I noticed the pick up after the WSU game as well. NDSU is excited. It looked like we were already being written off. Now, they are just nervous enough that both fanbases are hyped :thumb:
