The bolded text is exactly how the NDSU DL plays. Good to know Bison fans have watched their team play because it's clear they haven't watched Eastern play since last year.
Cox may shadow EB3, hope so, because that will expose the edge to McPherson, Custer and crew and put them in a position to get the edge w/o the LB waiting after the read option holds him for a step or so. Eastern's WR's have been great on blocking downfield and helping EB3 and RB's make big plays running the ball. If Cox is out of the picture even a step on the read option following EB3, it's one less guy for McPherson to beat. Eastern played another team that said, "pick your poison". D may have to pick it's poison against NDSU, but NDSU will have to pick it's poison against Eastern as well.
Guarantee that the players and coaches on both teams have watched film on each other and will make plans to stop their opponent. Have seen NDSU do a good job of scheming for their opponents tendencies, sometimes their D looks like they are in the huddle of the offense. Will say, Reeder has some tendencies and NDSU coaches have noticed. Honestly, if Reeder can break tendency and still keep it inside the offense, Eastern will score a lot of points.

Palm Springs Eag said:Neither Moore or Jones have been listed on the two deep for quite some time. Davis has been listed as the backup DT for weeks even though that hasn’t appeared to be the rotation in games. I don’t know anything more than that, but the two deep isn’t different than it’s been and shouldn’t itself be concerning.

This is right. The freshman DT Davis has been listed and did see the field against Maine in rotation with Moore et. al. Moore's done great work in there with everyone else. Limo-Jones hasn't been listed for a while but has continued to play special teams mostly. He did get a catch against Maine.
Would love to see Tiuli get past his problems, not sure that can happen on a short holiday week; but like most here, haven't seen anything new after some searching of newspapers and web.
Was wondering like Dopa, if we might see some of the players who haven't played all season as red shirts called into duty on defense. There are at least one more big body who hasn't played and several DB types. Not sure of the rule or readiness of the players in question. Guess we'll see Saturday.
Readiness is definitely a factor. Will anyone ever understand the new RS rule? :?EWURanger said:luckyintheorder said:Palm Springs Eag said:Neither Moore or Jones have been listed on the two deep for quite some time. Yup, the RS thing. Really wondering if we can leverage that rule to gain some available depth. I’ve noticed certain players that are definite RS’s suited up, the most obvious being (now) QB3 Burkett. That’s probably an in extremis thing but I wonder if there’s anyone that could really contribute using this new rule.

As we all know NDSU is the most dominate dynasty in all of FCS and 1-AA. Where would the Eagles stack up in # of semifinal and Qtr final appearances?CDAEAGLE said:As EAGS we get zero respect from the national media.
