Eag;
You may be aware already so ignore this if you are but if not, the list is just info gathered by "digital detectives" on this forum. It is not necessarily accurate, or official because Eastern officials, coaches, and staff are not allowed to discuss matters of recruiting. It has been my experience we will get a lot of surprises on signing day.
I am pleasantly surprised with how many commited (rumored) we have at this time. As far as I recall this number of recruits have not been committed to Eastern this early. Seems like kids are excited to get on board early or there may not be an opening later. It will take a few years to determine how good this class is.
Good problem to have :thumb:

air0045,
I the picture on the blog, the Recruit I asked about is standing on Kaleb left looking at the picture. Hope ou or someone can. Want to make sure I heard the name correctly. He said his name was Brad Curran. Vic Wallace

Nope the kid on his left is Conner Baumann from Newport High School.

air045,
Save my butt again, glad you had the picture of the recruits. I saw 4 of them on Thursday night at the Montana game. I saw a little of the breakfast the parents attended, I saw a gentleman back with a bald head ;) is that you? We will meet soon. Vic Wallace

EAGinAZ,
I heard Patrick Green had de-committed few weeks ago. Forget where he had committed to. That is why it doesn't bother me as to whom had committed, I wait for Feb NLI. But it is very nice to see how many Players are interested in in our Program. This program has taken "Great Strides", and will continue to do great things. Can't wait for Spring Ball. Vic Wallace

is it spring yet ???? Its going to be a long couple of months but I am getting ready for football. We need to get these kids on board and go win a NC....its starts at home 8/30/14

That makes sense. Based on my current experience, (i'm sure its the same for many of theses kids) PAC 12 or Mountain west schools are calling to see if they're interested in walking on. The full court press from the other schools who'd offered is in full swing, and you always read about the last minute offers that comes out the blue just days before NLI day.

Yep, that's a lot of pressure for a 18 year old, with their first big decision. Luckily the EWU staff is good and is really being proactive doing home visits these next few weeks to keep these kids engaged! And if all else fails, I'm here for my son to cut through the recruiting madness :D ! In the end- it's about the fit!!! I can't wait until NLI day! :thumb:

Well I'm bald, but I was there Friday only for the academic day of the visit. I'm the only parent who was close to home, so I took advantage of that fact and let my son enjoy his visit on his own.

I am glad your son had a good time. My son was hosting a recruit this past weekend and will be doing so again this weekend. I still remember our trip over to Cheney for his visit and had the same feeling you did following. I truly feel blessed to have that coaching staff influencing my son on a daily basis. Welcome to the family.....you will not regret it for a minute. :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

loloman,
Happy Birthday tomorrow. You have 29 yrs more to catch up with me, will wait for you    Spoke with Todd today, he mentioned that it was your BD Tomorrow. Today was my day to visit and see as many of our Players we could. Saw many of them. Looks like Cooper Kupp, Nic Sblendorio, Jordan West, and Zach Wimberly, are very close. They are always together. Went by the Weight Room to meet the New Strength Coach, found out he is no longer with EWU, he is now at UW. Todd is really building up some muscles. I told him today, he now took the place of Daryl Beaumonte, and Bo Schueztle, which he is like a "Patroit Missile, once they lock on you, your butt is in trouble". Andru Pulu was rehabbing his ankle, he is going to go out for Pro Day. Todd told me that QB from Camas Hennessey, was there, along with many more we didn't have an opportunity to see. Enjoy your BD. Vic Wallace

To All,
Went by Coaches Office, they were all gone. I think they might be out talking to prospective Players. Saw Jake Gall, Zachariah Storm, Andre Lino, Quincey forte, Will boule, Kendrick Bourne, and many, many more of our Players. They all hit the Weights this week. None was talking about last year, it is behind them, and getting ready for this season. Our Women VB Team was also there at open gym, and WBB Team getting ready for Thursday Game against Northern, AZ @ 6pm, and Saturday @ 2pm, against Sac. St. Vic Wallace

Vic,
Thanks for the BD wishes. You're the first. Planning on watching some DVD'd games for fun later. Todd mentioned that he is excited to have Jordan Tonani back in the fold. Looking forward to seeing him back on the field, such a great young man with a passion for the game.

That sucks, isn't it kind of "training season" now until fall camp? Seems like an important time to have a strength and conditioning coach.
Wonder who is directing the guys through their weight training?

clawman,
It is a damn shame that individual couldn't stay on and earn his damn wages. I think he was here for the last playoff game. Don't worry, the Interim Strength Coach is still the same one "Amir Owens" same Coach after Nate B left. Amir is doing an outstanding job with the Players. Yesterday when I stopped by the Weight Room, he was working with Todd Raynes, Andre Lino, Cameron Babcock, and a few more Players. He is the young man that came here from I think it was Idaho State about two to three years ago. At the Basketball Games he is normally sitting in the end bleachers, to the left of where we sit. Our Players knows what to do, they have been down that road for some time. I wish they would make it mandatory, anyone being hired must agree to at least a l year contract, before they can get out of the position they applied for. What you think? Vic Wallace

To All,
My buddy Neal Gmeiner sent me a picture/thread of Connor Baumann where he was a RB, at 230 lbs, @ Newport in Bellview, he his very fast. He was one of the Recruits I spoke to on Saturday MBB Game. I wish I knew how to get it on the blog. I am not computer smart, :o :o so excuse me. Should I get in trouble, I turn the damn thing off. ;) ;) ;) Vic Wallace

Here's a link on Conner...big/strong kid with multiple offers...must be smart as well in choosing EWU.

Big frame, wonder how big he could get after a couple of years in the weight room. According to NW Elite he has no offers.
