Spoeagle said:We may not have been hearing much recruiting news lately because Dec 23 to 31 (or to 1/3?) has been a dead period where there can be no interaction between coaches and athetes or family members at any location. I believe Feb 3 to Feb 6 is also a dead period for recruiting. Someone with more knowledge might want to explain the quiet and dead periods for recruiting at the FCS level.

I am Blessed to say that i have Committed to Eastern Washington University.
All Glory to God always. God is great. #GoEags
There are just over 20 seniors which does not necessarily mean that many scollies. As you probably know in FCS they can do partials so in theory all 20 of the new kids could get something but that is highly doubtful. And some kids will get invites to walk on but no scholarship offer.DefendtheRed said:Does anyone know how many more scholarships we have to offer? Will we see many more names added to the list before signing day? Seems like a few of the guys on this list could be partials.
4. AJ Hotchkins 6-0 230 Sr. LB Tigard – (Offers: Montana, Idaho, Northern Colorado, Portland State) 1st team all league kid on both sides of the ball for the last two seasons. One of the hardest hitters to ever come out of the state, tracking ball carriers down like they stole something. The Tigers have never trailed this season and he is one of the main reasons why.clawman said:Wow watch this kid at 3:41

Hey Vic;Vic E. Wallace said:clawman,
Those commitments we have are great, however, I doesn't put much into any of them until NLI, which I think is on Feb 5th. Normally NLI is on the 1st Wed of Feb, also we should be having FB Banquet very soon. :thumb:
Made a trip out yesterday, Tuesday checked with our FB Coaches, just two were in. Rest are out visiting Recruits. Got the information I wanted to hear. Everyone is back. Our Prop 48s are all doing great, and is back attending classes. Saw Cooper Kupp, Nic Sblendorio, and Zac Wimberly, playing Racket Ball. Spoke to all three after they got finished, I was watching the WBB Team Practice. Also saw Jordan Tonani, he was on his way to Rehab, he had rehab earlier in the am, and was back for the afternoon session. He looks great, he is not limping. He is hoping to come back even stronger. Told him to take care of himself. He really seems very happy to be in the position he is in right now. Tevin McDonald was with Jordani Tonani earlier in the day, he did mention that. Vic Wallace p.s. got an email from Coach Adams, he flew out on Monday. He will miss all those Collard Greens, Cabbages, etc     He is missing the team Coaches, and Players already, but this is a business. Vic Wallace

Well , with day 1 of our official visit in the books, I have to say that my son and I are, even more, impressed with the Athletic Director, coaching staff, and the athletic academic staff. They genuinely seem to care and I felt a a sense of relief that my son will have the needed resources to be successful! Compared to the schools we've dealt with, EWU has a truly unique feel to it. I can say that my son and I feel 100% that this is where he should be. EWU coaching staff are tremendous people, on and off the field, and all the recruits and parents that I spoke with last night fell the same way. We're coming to EWU, because it feels like home and we want our kids to be part of the EWU family. Whatever you do- work like hell to keep coach Baldwin here for a long time. he's a tremendous asset to this University!
Ok, now that I spilled my guts, lets talk some football!!! Very impressive class. I think this recruiting must rank higher than any other Mountain West school and is better then University of Idaho class- hands down! Many of them have other D1 options, but are choosing to go to EWU. There's speed everywhere in this class and I hope we don't lose any up to signing day. They seem to be excited to be eagles and ready to go, but i guess until that form is signed, you never know.
Hey Vick, if you'r at the B-ball game today and see the group of recruits say Hi to my son, The D-line kind of walks around together can't miss them!
By the way, there's more than 12 verbals- not sure who's missing, there's 4 verbals (full offers) for D-line on this visit alone, not including any partials that may be out there we don't know about.
Go eags!
