8 DAYS UNTIL SIGNING DAY!

Air045,
Missed you on here for a while. Thanks for the heads up on Spencer Blackburn, he seems like a big gentleman, and the article very interesting to read. Yes 8 days before NLI Day. Now I have to walk a little further to the the Po O Pavillion with these bad knees. Regardless I will be there. BTW Saw Keith Osso, KXLY News 4, twice this morning in New York, doing sport show, we are getting some kudos from him, he is wearing EWU Addidas Football Black Jersey with the Red/White Eagle. Looked very sharp. Vic Wallace

air045,
Does Jonah go put to EWU to run in Reece Court? Saw a young man on Friday, have never seen him before, for some reason Jonah came to my mind. No news about the new WR Coach. I saw Cory Beckering name on the commit list on the blog that you put on the blog. Thanks. Vic Wallace

EWURanger,
Sorry, I am giving air045, credit to the new list of Commits, it should have gone to you, Thanks for the list.
We have the type of Coaches that will have Players play any positions they desire. Look at Zach Wimberly DL, (Tumwater High School Terror), when Cody Humphrey TE went down, Zach was converted to TE, and he did an "Outstanding Job" in TE position, he ever made some outstanding blocks in some of the games. I spoke to him many times, he plays very hard, and love this team. Vic Wallace

Nope, that wasn't Jonah.

In and out of town and can't wait until the 5th. Some schools are throwing everything (including the kitchen sink) at players hoping to get them to flip on their verbal commitments. But, based on what I'm hearing so far- this class seams to be holding strong, but I guess we'll know for sure on the 5th!

So, we are up to 18 verbals now. I gotta think there aren't too many offers out anymore, if any. Still hoping we can land the two Webster brothers.

Are all of these commits confirmed? I believe we have 21 seniors to replace and it seems there are always surprises the digital detectives are not aware of.
Next Wednesday will be interesting!

Not confirmed, but here is something to get your hopes up. From Nzuzi Webster's Twitter:

Pretty good detective work this season, more info on twitter and all the boards this year then ever as it pertains to FCS and EWU. I think all these have been twitterfied at least. Sure to be surprises though. Great job keeping up Ranger.

1/2 isn't bad, but was hoping to get both of these guys. I wonder where his brother is going to be playing? Must be San Jose State, I can't see him picking PSU or Sac State over EWU, especially when his brother is coming here.

This looks like a great class of new Eagles. I'm excited. I am also cautiously optimistic that there won't be any last minute back-outs. I was wondering if there is any information about who else was recruiting these fellas. Recruiting is pretty competitive and I want to know who we beat.

I've been wondering if we might lose some commits as well. I know character is hugely important for Baldwin and company so given that they are not even interested in a kid that may not have the level of character to fit into the program once they give their commitment they may not be very likely to go back on their word.

Vic,

The only loose ends on the recruiting trail is the Benjamin Twins. Very little being said with no mention of them anywhere. Have you heard anything on them, are they still in the mix?

Scroll up this page and you will see one (Nzuzi) committed. No word on his twin Nsimba. My bet is he ends up at SJSU.

Wrong twins. Nzuzi and Nsimba last name is Webster.

IMHO, If a kid changes his mind, prior to NLI, I don't think that's any refection of their character, but rather they simply changed their minds.

At this point it is only a non-binding verbal as we all know. They have every right to change their mind, if they so chose. As do Universities have the right to change their mind and pull offers. Both instances happen quite a bit out of the headlines. Coaching staff has been working hard reaching out every day. My source tells me that this class is holding strong tweeting each other, but as you said- you never know for sure until NLI!

Just my two cents, trying to get my post numbers up :D .

My bad. On the Sac State board they are saying there is a rumor that Nsimba Webster has committed there.

Sac State? I doubt it, especially when his brother just verbal'd to EWU. Why would he go to Sac State when he could come to Eastern and play with his brother?

Very doubtful - the only other thing I could think of that would outweigh playing with your brother would be maybe playing at the FBS level (maybe). In that case, he probably goes to SJSU.
