Final - 2014 Recruiting - 26 Verbals

i know it was probably a slow week for recruiting news since most of the coaches were out scouting. any chance we have any kids visiting for the game this weekend?

DL - Patiole Pesefea - 6'2, 295 - Tacoma, WA - EWU

Great video of Patiole running the ball. Note jumping db at 1:39 mark and the safety mistackle right after

Rjones61,
Reference slow feet on some players, we have had some slow 300 pounders, past and present, will not mention any names, however they did become some of our Outstanding Players. If the Player(s) really want to become great athletes, they will. Like Corey Harrison, he sounds like he is already doing that, especially in the Class Rooms. That is one battle he is winning. Keep it up young man. Go Eagles!!!!! Vic Wallace

This Kid named Corey Harrison from Jacksonville Arkansas Plays OG but will probably play DT in college should Definitely get a Look from EWU HUDL: , : guard/ Guard/ Center, 6"3 330 Corey Harrison DT/OG #73 : http://www.hudl.com/athlete/500631/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; :D

Little outside our recruiting area there - but it'd be nice to expand that into the Southern states. :D

On another note, despite what appears to be an outstanding recruiting class so far, I'm a little concerned that we don't have any commitments from any offensive linemen yet. I know Dillard is on the radar, but from what I have been reading he may go to WSU.
Dillard is not showing an offer from Wazzu.

Welcome to the board. Accoring to NEI, he was offered a few days ago. The article states that he also has offers from Eastern, Idaho, and Portland State.

Thanks, I wasn't aware of that site but it looks to be a good resource for recruiting news.

EWURanger,
I wouldn't worry about we do not have any commitments from OL. We have about 12 OL with a minimum of 2 years left, some with three. I am sure Coaches are working on getting some OL for the Feb 14 NLI Day. I am so much impressed with the caliber of Commitments we have gotten so far. Like I have said before, I am not one that does not worry about commitments, I wait until Feb for NLI signing. But I must say, we do have some outstanding commitments, Young Athletes that want to be an EAGLE. It is going to be cold Sat, pulling out my clothing from the Moth Balls to be worn on Saturday. I am now over the flu Etc, Ready For Football. Game tickets will be ready Wednesday. P.S. One of the Tail Gate Functions will be moving to Reese Court Mezzanine, and at half will be moving back. I think it is the Alumni,(not positive) got the information from Don Ross yesterday. Go Eagles!!!! Vic Wallace

HannahO, Off the subject: Yesterday I went out to check out practice, was very cold. Spoke with Ashton Clark, asked him how his brother was doing, he smiled he had improved very much. I taught of you as soon as I spoke with Ashton, I remembered you and myself was a little misty eyes, when Ashton did his Senior Announcement, and I know you and everyone else will be happy to hear this information.  :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: About 06:45am this morning I did post this information, for some reason it didn't show. This is about the 5th time this have happened. Have a nice day. Vic Wallace

Vic, you know much better than me. My only evidence is only one case, but with your examples, it seems as if I am wrong. Guess I should fix my slow feet bias ;)

Info about Conner Cain from Heritage HS in Littleton,Co or the same high school of Brandon Kauffman. The relationship he built with multiple EWU Coaches and his unofficial to Eastern vs Southern Utah convinced this was a perfect fit for him all the way around. His Mom is a proud EWU alum but this was fully Conner's decision. He's 6-4 252 and a three sporter though this year he opted to not play basketball.

We're excited. :thumb:

Conner was offered by Montana, Northern Colorado after the completion of their summer camp. He was offered by South Dakota State mid season along with EWU. He was weekly on the phone with U of Wyoming and Colorado State and then Montana State started calling him religiously after EWU offered. He lived earlier in the Mica / Freeman area but because of his Dad's promotion they were relocated so he was very familiar and comfortable with the area and "really" wanted to land in the NW. He always knew of EWU certainly and even though he's younger than Brandon Kaufmann, EWU is well respected in the state and in his High School. The players, the coaches, the pure enjoyment he saw from the Eastern Team from warm ups to game time to being in the locker room, EWU's staff did it right!

Conner was named Lineman of the Year in his Conference and was named to the Colorado ALL State Game. He's been All Conference 3 years in a row. He started as a Soph. DE and was 2nd Team All Conference against the likes of Mullen HS, Columbine HS and the rest of the Super Six Conference at that time.

From what I have read about Conner I am confident he will be in the 8 to 10 rotation of d linemen as a true freshman when Eastern plays the Huskies in Seatlle in early September next fall - and he should have fun in
Eugene against the Ducks in 2015. Colorado has been good to us - Brandon Kaufman and starting right tackle Cassidy Curtis who will be a junior. We 'gave' Colorado State ex-Eagle player and coach their head coach, Jim McElwain ( whose team will be playing the Cougs in the New Mexico Bowl game Dec. 21).

Camas falls to Chiawana in 4A finals 26-27. Sorry for our future QB. Great season Camas.
