It's official: Kaufman and Padron to draft

While I hate to lose Kauf his move is understandable. His stock will not raise enough to offset the possibility of injury while playing another year in college. Losing him to the draft is similar to a season ending injury in that it gives someone else a chance to step up and fill that void. We have a number of outstanding receivers and red shirts who will have to play up. I think we saw what our offense will look like in the last half of the SHSU game. VA came into his own there and we will be fine. That plus our running game will develop due to several young o-linemen returning. I realize you can't just replace Edwards, Herd, and Kaufman but our offense will be more balanced and still be very potent.
Good Luck Brandon!!

I agree with Clawman this was his best move at this point. His stock would not have increased much playing another year in the Big Sky and he already missed one year to injury. Great move by him.

I think it is hard to tell. Not playing most of the season there really wasn't enough to evaluate.
BLM had his ups and downs and he had Jones to bail him out many times during his first season.
From what I can say he has a great arm and great accuracy, but he holds onto the ball sometimes too long in the pocket. I think that was one of the main reasons he got pulled in the last game.
I think you are correct if he is going his likely destination will be the CFL.

Two big differences 1) Bo has the ability to look ahead. Previous plays, good or bad, have no effect on him focusing on the next play. That is a huge attribute. 2) Confidence

Give BLM Padron's height and Katy would have two QB's in the NFL. Still holding out hope!

Good luck to all the EWU guys headed out.

To All,
We had an Outstanding year. We will miss all or our Seniors. This is something I look forward to every 4-5 years. I am ready to see our young receivers in waiting, namely Cooper Kupp, Nick Lenoue, Keylin Huddleston, Cory Mitchell, Daniel Johnson, Ashton Clark, Shaquille Hill. It was great seeing Players like Kaufman, Edwards, Heard, Minnerly, Williams, Will Post, Jimmy Pavel, Jerry Ceja, Padron, Zach Johnson, Scott Burgett, Chase King, Tyler Washburn, Rusty Haehl, Jake Potter, and Evan Cook. They all played outstanding, we will miss them. Wishing all of them the best of luck in whatever they do in life. I know I was fortunate to have known, as I know all of you are.

Now we can get ready for the rest of the team to come out ready for another great year. I saw J.C Agen in the weight room, here is hoping he can get back to form. He is our LB from Central Valley HS. He said he was feeling better, and getting to where he wants to be.

Mark my words, we have some Outstanding Recruits ready for this year, should they all return. That is my hope, that they all return. Go Eagles!!!!!Vic Wallace p.s. MBB Game tonight & 6:05pm.

clawman,
You are so correct in what you have written. Anthony Vitto QB, is still around, think he will be a Senior this year, I am guessing. We have an outstanding Freshman, Jordan West QB 6'4" 205 lbs, from Maple Valley, WA, Liberty HS, he looked very impressive last year, just hope he returns. Seems like him and Bowe Merin were very close. Jordan Pulu should be with his older brother Andru on the DL. We will be ok, those are some outstanding Recruits from last year. Take Care. Vic Wallace

Good luck to both. BK's stock is at its peak right now and he graduated (I think). KP has a chance to get on with a squad due to a pathetic QB class. Eags just reload though. But it's definitely gonna be interesting to see who steps up at receiver next year.
