Montana

I am with you but I am still laughing at the Mantana e-jizz statement!! If Orms has a good day and I have faith he will, we will be scoring points ! Defense has to have a great game but like you said, this is our best chance to beat them in a long time.It will be a great atmosphere regardless of Mantana fans.

Wouldn't be the first time it happened. UNC over Montana at Greeley...

1976, at Jackson Field.

I wuz there.

Were you on the field?

MmmmHmmm, and there were five, I believe, future NFL players on the field that day, including a future NFL Defensive POY and UM HOF member.

Huge plays for the Bears that day were an intercepted pitchout and TD return by Greeley native Zach Ferrier, a long bomb TD from Russ Boone to Cliff Harris, and an awesome screen pass to Rich Marquez that went for 50 or so yards. There was two crushing blocks thrown on that one, one by FB Jim Goodenburger, and one by a rarely noticed interior lineman, on that future POY.

this is the best shot we've ever had to upset Montana.
I believe you are correct. And that's sad because at some point during the game you'll once again come to the realization that your very best isn't nearly enough.

THE University of Montana? Are you guys like THE Ohio State University or THE U? Honestly, you are a big fish in a really small pond. No doubt, Montana has great natural beauty and the U of M has wonderful support, but you sound worse than North Dakota State fans and I didn't think that was even possible.

Oh they're worse than NDSU fans. Some other Griz fans on other boards are cool, but there are so many that think they are Ohio State or Miami.

If we continue our streak of 6+ turnovers and multiple penalties a game it might be close. With all those turnovers and penalties we kept the 2 games we lost nail biting close. You guys better bring your A game if you want a shot. On our coaches show one of the players was saying as soon as we clean up our penalties and turnovers we will be "scary good". I think this will be the week we start cleaning those up.
On that note,
  BRING IT NORTHERN COLORADO

p.s. Sac State didn't lose because the ref's handed it to them. They lost because they had to settle for field goals every time they got down to our side of the field.

Good teams don't turn the ball over that many times. We lead the conference in turn over ratio. We're a very physical team and that leads to turnovers.

If you turn it over 6 times, you'll lose, it's as simple as that.

Don't have to worry about us settling for field goals, we don't know how to kick those. :?

I wouldn't take that to the bank. Remember your game against weber? Just sayin', you guys better hope we continue this odd run of TO's and you play some really good football.

"Good" teams get better as the season goes on. Other then eastern our last bigsky loss was to weber in 08. They we're saying the same old shit you hear every time Montana has a loss. We played them again in the second round of the playoffs and KILLED them. We will probably get better every game.

To say the #2 team from the last 2 years isn't "good" because of a sloppy 2-2 start is kind of lame. If we get a handle on these TO's, which I think we will eventually, watch out.

You lead the conference in turn over ratio but we lead the conference in wins every year. Don't count on the griz dynasty to take a shit because of two extremely close early season road losses to good teams while having a new coach and losing the most starters in the bigsky... Good luck Saturday.

The problem is that this 2-2 Griz team is different than the last 2 seasons by your own account so, yes they might not be that good (relative to past Montana teams). That being said, I still favor them to win on Saturday but I think we have improved enough to make a game of it.

We'll just have to wait until Saturday and see.

I hope UNC is getting better. It would be good for our conference. You guys being a treat every year would make the season allot funner to watch.

That would leave two teams in our conference that suck ass. I say we give ISU one more season, then trade them for another team...ANY TEAM!

Dude, ISU is the only team we can beat, UNC needs them in the Big Sky. :D

Hey Griz, don't be going soft on us!! For us Bear fans it has been a while and we are excited for a great game and would love to kick your ass and really want to have a winning program (like The Griz) again! So good luck on saturday!!

Not sure about the score but just go read some of the crap over on EGRIZ and you will see why we need to shut Mantana up early! They have absolutely no respect for us as a team, a school or a town and consider us a gnat on the road and their head is getting huge as the WAC discussion grows. I sure hope our Bears are up to the challenge! It could be the perfect storm for us to finally beat them on sat.

Don't worry about the fans over at eat jizz, about 100% of them have no idea what they're talking about. They think that they're going into the SEC just after one year in the WAC.
Yeah... no on has said anything like that. A few idiots have talked about going straight to the MWC but that's it.
And I'd like to know what UNC has done to earn respect at the FCS level.

Last season we finished 2nd in men's basketball (regular season) and our women finished 1st in the Big Sky in volleyball or is football the only sport that counts?
