New Coaching Candidates

That's an article that screams quality coaching from a football staff even in the midst of a hard season but building bonds with players IN YEAR #1, not year #3!!!! Must be nice to see coaches not throwing players under the bus in its first two years. All this staff has ever done since day #1 is blame everyone else but their own inability to put players in a winning position. That's your job, do it and stop blaming everybody else, get it done! But you HAVE NOT and you WONT! No, players and fans "don't trust you" whose fault is that? You have failed now move along and let the real coaches step in please and stop holding this program hostage.

Clearly this AD isn't a go getting mover and a shaker or Collins would have been gone 2 weeks ago and the rest of his clown posse would have been dismissed post game Saturday!

Oh good. We're already to the part where we rag on Dunn. Hey, just FYI, he hasn't even officially started this position yet. He won't until January 1st. Give the guy a chance. Any administrator worth anything will observe the situation he's inheriting for a long period of time so he can get a good sense of where the program is overall. There's no way he fires Collins after the end of the season 1) because he technically can't, and 2) because he needs a full season to get a sense of where the football program is overall and not just the product on the field. Collins will have another season, fulfilling his original contract, before the decision is made to either retain him or part ways. There needs to be an understanding on this board that during a transition time, a large amount of patience is needed.

Good things come to those who wait.

You're a baby and the rest of those who share the same sentiment as you will continue to loose and good ol boy your way to loosing seasons every year. Give your "good things come to those that wait" a rest for cryin out loud! How long are you gonna wait Ben!? We know you like Collins as a friend, that's cute but that's not the business of college football and any AD worth his charmin ultra doesn't take more than a week to figure that out regardless of when his "start date" begins! Drop the purse Ben.

I'm sorry, but I have to agree with Klondike in a lot of respects. It should not take a new AD an entire off season and another losing season to evaluate the state of a program. And if I have to hear one more time that this staff is doing it the right way I'm going to get physically sick. The "right way" also includes the win-loss record. It is not just about improving APR or community relations or fewer arrest records. Those are all great things, but players, students, alumni and most likely even the community want, expect and frankly deserve a competitive team.

You will never hear a player, student or alum saying with pride "Our team doesn't win any games, but hell we have a higher APR every year!"

Three years is more than enough time to show consistent improvement in all areas of the program. Take Collins record here and add his less than stellar record at Acorn State and it is more than obvious that this coach does not have what it takes to produce a winning or even competitive team. An improving program does not go from a 5-6 record in their 2nd year to a 1-11 record in their 3rd year. Especially with some of the talent they have on that team. Collins has had his chance to prove himself worthy and he has failed.

Obviously on a completely different level, but just look at what happened at USC this year. A piss poor coach and by all account a piss poor person is fired. A quality coach who knows what the hell he is doing and knows how to get the most out of a very talented team is hired. USC has gone from losing team to playing some of the best ball in the country.

It's time for the leadership at UNC and the new AD to step up and move on.

The new AD intro video is on the Bears YouTube, also on the same page we get a bonus CSU-P football highlight:

Here's another video just in case your new AD visits this website. It was made by RMAC Conference media folks. The second one was made by a CSU-Pueblo fan and reposted again because I couldn't open the one above.

Incidently, the new AD needs to know that it's just not right to lose to a damn lowly RMAC team. Especially one that had never beaten UNC before and loaded with a bunch of underclassmen. Cheers!

I'm going to take this guy's lead and forward this to the new AD. CSUP fans coming on here talking smack after they beat us down at home pretty much sums the situation up pretty well.

I would love to have some contact info for the new AD. Please if anyone comes across it feel free to email me or respond with it. Id love to help expedite this process.

Happy to do it. His current email address is [email protected].

Sent him an email last week telling him that he needed to do a more serious evaluation of the program and look beyond whether or not Coach Collins is a good man.
