Official Big Sky Conference Tourney Thread

North Dakota beats SUU 69-52 and it really wasn't even that close, UND will be Weber's next opponent. gonna be a good one.

UND is a really good matchup for us. Our D seems more than capable of stopping the high pick and roll that they run. Our bigs should do well in this one. :coffee:

I'm sure that UM is pulling for UNC in this one. The last time the Bobs were in town, it was not a warm fuzzy feeling for the Griz. Personally, I don't have a fave in this one. The losing coach may lose more than just the game.

Just sayin! :yikes:

But the UM announcers during the WSU/NAU game said Blount is out, so that makes a huge difference...

Vegas has Weber State a 9.5 favorite today and Montana a 9 point favorite! Is that Vegas saying Weber State is better because they are picking Weber to beat a better team by 9.5 on a "neutral" court and picking Montana to beat a lesser team on "home" court?
:stir:

There is no doubt that Weber is better than Montana. I bet if we play Montana, we will be a 1 or 2 point favorite on their home court. If the tourney was in Ogden, we would be the heavy favorite.

MY BUDDY HERE AT WORK IS A MONTANA FAN... I BET HIM DICKIES THAT WEBER WOULD WIN... LETS GO CATS... IF NORTH DAKOTA WINS TODAY THOUGH, THE BET IS NULL AND VOID. :coffee: :coffee:

You sod. Why would you even mention Weber possibly losing today? If UND wins, I think you owe the entire board good BBQ (Huntsville or Pats, no crap BBQ). :coffee: :coffee: :coffee:

MSU finally showed their true colors last night. Playing virtually a home game they still laid an egg. UNCO is playing a lot better and their ball movement is far more crisp than it has been (they are taking care of the ball) probably most importantly the cubbies are playing great basketball in the paint. Barden gets some help tonight, the cubbies have the talent there too with Addo, Osborne, Keane (sp?), to really take advantage of the Griz lack of depth. Look for Martin and Hutch to play a lot of mins tonight. No way Coleman can match up with Barden, Addo, or Keane. UNCO has the advantage in this game. Too bad their backcourt as reliable, but it is getting better.

So....; How long will it be before MSU gets their new coach hired? I hope they don't come in and try to snatch one of our assistants. They aught to hire Rupp. He is an assistant somewhere, this year. :twocents:

They could have country Joe Cravens if he's willing to give up the st. joe HS girls coaching gig

I thought about Joe. However, he does have his dignity to consider. It's a mess there at MSU. It's not that they don'r have some good players. It's that they don't have the right players, with the right attitudes to go along with the right coach. Almost any coach is going to go in there and do some weeding. I think that Bozman is a nice place to recruit to. They can, and should be, one of the top teams in the BSC, year in and year out. It should be easier to get kids there than UNC, PSU, or SAC. They just need to build a little tradition. :twocents:
