Why do we NEVER get served up some easy team in our first game?

The selection committee certainly didn’t do us any favors with this draw. Franky I’m pretty pissed off by this.
How exactly does this happen? Nearly every pundit had us in the top 8. Not only do we not get a top 8, we draw a reasonably tough team in the first round while there were several patsies to choose from. Then, if we win, we go on the road to play a team with an identical record, fewer quality wins, that we already beat.
Did our AD lobby for us at all? This has Montana hands all over it. Fuck Kent Haslam, because I'm sure he was steering this ship. If nothing else, and the committee truly didn't believe we were a top 8 team, why would you then think we're not even close and pitch us a tougher team in the first round? Why not Sacred Heart? Or Holy Cross? Do they really think those two merit better consideration based on their body of work than Eastern?
While difficult, there's a route to making this better. Beat UNI and then go to Missoula and beat Montana. All our fans that make the trip can break into Kent Haslam's office and take a big shit on his desk and piss in his file cabinet.

Lol so color blind. Montana literally has the worst matchups of the entire bracket. Ewu on Friday night game. Then JMU, then NDSU. If the Montana AD had any influence….that’s not exactly what they would have wanted

Going to settle in and watch N. Iowa v Missouri St.. so far, NI looks very good. Three of their losses are to teams that made the playoff's and Iowa State. Can't get the replay of N. Iowa v Sac St from Sep 11th

Kind of how the seeds work isn't it fuckstick...? Going to have to beat someone is the point of the playoff's. Will trade you and take the 5th seed and Griz can play UNI than come back to the Inferno. Just like a Griz fan to go to another board to bitch about how bad they got it..

Not bitching about getting in. Just trying to explain to someone who is crying about “favoritism” that favoritism only works if you do someone a favor and this seeding and matchup is no favor to Montana. See you Friday night in Missoula
