Playoffs??? Playoffs???

This is great for the team, extra practice, extra game, will help with recruiting. Excellent! Bring on the Chattanooga Mocs

Congrats to the football team. Special thanks to Montana State. Let's put together one full game and head to Texas for round 2.

Does anyone know if convincing wins the next few weeks would give us a chance at the playoffs? If so, what percent chance would you give us of getting in?

Almost zero.

Almost? It's zero!

I would have thought this last game would have finally squashed talk on this thread. It really hasn't been that difficult to figure out who this team is this season, especially after the injury dust settled: a middle-of-the-pack team, playing a relatively weak schedule.

I'm happy to eat crow on this one. It's a great accomplishment for Coach Hill and the team! Several things fell into place over the last few weeks and they're in. I'm surprised and as surprised that 4 got in. Good luck to the team preparing this week; they're gonna need it, the choo-choos will be tough.

Say a prayer for the children killed and injured yesterday and their families in the bus crash yesterday..Chattanooga is mourning...

What happened in Chattanooga is very sad. I'm surprised events like this don't happen more often. I always felt unsafe on the school bus without a seatbelt.

Agreed, School buses should have seat belts.

Hearts are out to all the families involved in that terrible accident

Agreed! :thumb:

Prayers for the families and children, but also for the administrators, teachers, and community. This is tragic and very sad.

Huge games for Weber State team and program tomorrow. I saw a few Mocs games and think they're extremely talented. Mocs 35- Cats 16 (HOPE I AM WRONG)

Game day! I'm excited to see how the cat's do against a tough team.

Much less excited :ohno: Weber shot themselves in the foot today against a much better team. Congrats to the Moc's and good luck the rest of the way through the playoffs. Thanks seniors for getting us to the playoffs and buying into Coach Hill and creating an expectation of winning. Wish things ended a bit differently but the future is bright if we can build on this season into next.

I believe that Hill has put this program on a positive track and that the team will get better and better. I am disappointed that they didn't do better today but to be truthful I thought they were way over matched even before the game began. So I am not surprised at the obvious difference in the two teams. But, as someone else here said, it is just another step. The important thing is that we have a coach who is not satisified with anything less than a national championship of FCS. That is a great thing, especially in the light of our bball coach who has very uninspiring goals for this team.

I know this is a football forum however baller Rahe has a larger field to compete against than Hill. All d-1 compared to FCS

LTCat, thanks for informing me of the difference between FCS football and Division 1 basketball. I learn so much on this forum... How could I have missed such an important distinction when I compared the goal of Hill for his football team and the goal of Rahe for his basketball team? So stupid me... Sure glad I have this forum to set me straight.

Regardless of my newfound understanding, I still am happy that we have a football coach whose desires reflect reasonable goals for the team versus a basketball coach who revels in some years being the big fish in the little pond and other years adeptly excuses the fact that his team is poorly coached and thus underperforms. Personally I will always take the guy who wants to take a program to greater heights. I have no tolerance for anyone (coach or forum blogger) who accepts sub par results as ok... Thats just who I am and on this forum it seems it makes me not a true Weber fan.
