Post offers here (rumors and gossip welcome)

offer out to Ashton Henderson, Okla's top defensive lineman according to the Tulsa World.

Rivals link http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/recruiting/player-Ashton-Henderson-114669

Defensive tackle from Jenks, Oklahoma
* Ht:6'1"
* Wt:315 lbs

also offered by Louisville, and has interest (but no offers) from a number of big-name schools:

Henderson, who dropped 24 pounds from a year ago, said he would like to visit Louisville, LSU, Arkansas, Kansas, UCLA and Iowa State. Henderson also said he's hearing from Tulsa but neither of the other in-state schools, Oklahoma or Oklahoma State, have expressed interest.
"It's a shock to me but I'm going to keep playing my game," he said.

Henderson made unofficial visits to Arkansas and Kansas during the spring and also traveled to Baton Rouge with his father and spent a day at LSU's second summer camp in July.

Major college prospects Orion Jones and Ashton Henderson are a
formidable defensive line duo for Jenks. The two have played
together since seventh grade.
MICHAEL WYKE / Tulsa World

We take you from Ashton Henderson to Austin Hendrickson. I hope they both commit just so we can stay on our toes keeping their names straight.

Austin Hendrickson is the lastest recruit to field an offer from the Bears. He's Colorado homegrown, from Arvada West, 6-foot-3 and Wt: 265 lbs.
http://hscolorado.scout.com/2/1130354.html

The 6-4 265 pound Hendrickson is a two-way lineman for Arvada West, and he has been a starter for over two seasons for his Wildcats. He also plays basketball and baseball.

Quarterback Sean Rubalcaba is setting up his official visits, now that his team lost in the state quarterfinals.

He currently holds offers from UNC, Montana and North Dakota. Prior to the last playoff game, his stats were throwing for 1,098 yards and rushing for 1,063 yards.

Nov. 11 update on Scout:
Currently Rubalcaba will visit Wyoming on December 10th and will then follow that up with a visit to North Dakota. Regarding Wyoming, Rubalcaba does not hold an official offer, but the potential is there after he makes his trip.

Rubalcaba profile here http://hscolorado.scout.com/a.z?s=385&p=8&c=1&nid=5288635

Sean Rubalcaba - excellent QB prospect. Also plays Basketball, so there's some scheduling to consider.
Update: According to Rivals, he is visiting January 13th.

I've been checking out coach Robinson's tweets and he's been out in the mid-west recruiting, especially in Flint, Michigan. He mentioned he did get a verbal from a kid, didn't mention anyone specific. Flint would be a great place to recruit. Still them a from MAC schools like EMU, WMU and CMU. Let them know that instead of playing for some BS bowl game they can come compete for a real playoff championship. Plus, Flint is tough. We need tough kids.

Awesome. What's Robinson's twitter handle?

I checked out all the HS players I could find in Flint, Michigan and surrounding, but came up empty. Lots of good players, but if any have committed to UNC, it didn't make their local papers yet, or I missed somehow.

Two more names for the master list of offers:

• 6-foot-6, 225 pound Pomona defensive end Toran Huwa was a first-year starter this season, but college coaches have been flocking to see him at school. "It has been Doane (Neb.), Adams State, CSU-Pueblo, UNC, and Fort Hayes (Kan.)," he said.

Highlands Ranch athlete Richard Mbugua is hoping his recruiting stock can pick increase in upcoming weeks. "I've talked to UNC and we just sent film to Montana, Montana State, and some (FCS) schools. I will probably send out some more film to some other schools."

Tyler Dogins, a two time 1st team all conference safety from Bakersfield College has committed to play at UNC as a midyear transfer. It sure was fun watching #21 fly all over the field and make plays for the Renegades. Good luck to Tyler and the Bears in the future it always great to see B.C. players go on and play at the next level.

The Bears have an offer out to

Wendy Laurent, defensive tackle
Princeton, New Jersey
Hun School
Ht:6'4"
Wt:285 lbs

Numerous offers: Bucknell, Delaware, Elon, Lehigh, Navy, Old Dominion, Richmond
Rivals Profile:

senior highlights:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oaUhAVkQhwg

The Hun School won the Mid-Atlantic Prep League (MAPL) title in November 2011, and Wendy Laurent was key in that game. A highlight play from that game:
But after two incomplete passes, 6-foot-2, 260-pound defensive lineman Wendy Laurent scooped up a fumble and rumbled 78 yards into the end zone for a Hun touchdown and a 12-0 lead with 61 seconds to go until the half.

His teammate, David Dudeck (MAPL player of the year) also holds an offer from UNC.

A little more about David Dudeck:

http://rivals.yahoo.com/temple/football/recruiting/player-David-Dudeck-124874

DAVIDDUDECK2_10_25_150.JPG

He played QB for the Hun School for two years, until another "star" enrolled and took his spot. He became a talented WR in his senior year and ended up being named Athlete of the Year.

Dudeck, a two-way performer, excelled at wide receiver and defensive back and was available to help at his old position – quarterback – when needed.

Dudeck, who volunteered to switch to wide receiver when talented QB John Loughery enrolled at Hun last summer, finished with 50 catches for 1,000 yards and 10 touchdowns this fall.

Offer out to Jordan Roberts,
RB, 5'10" and 190 lbs.
Sheridan HS, Wyoming

Roberts has scholarship offers from Northern Colorado and South Dakota.
He's visiting, but not sure in which order: "Roberts will visit those two schools over consecutive weekends starting next week."

The 5-foot-10, 190-pound Roberts was the Wyoming Gatorade Player of the Year last season as a running back. He helped Sheridan win its second Class 4A state championship in the past three years.

Roberts carried the ball 308 times for 2,688 yards and 38 touchdowns. He also showed his durability late in the season with 80 carries in the semifinal and championship games.

He rolled up 2,938 yards of total offense, averaged 21 yards per kickoff return and 9.1 yards every time he touched the ball.

His backstory is interesting - he's overcome a lot.

http://www.pe.com/sports/college/ms...cs-hamilton-finds-refuge-playing-football.ece

Just two years out of high school, Hamilton already has endured more pain and built more emotional scar tissue than most people deal with in a lifetime. His mother and older sister were lost to cancer and his older brother to a gunshot, all in a span of three years.

Hamilton's most effective therapy always came on the football field or basketball gym. Even there, at 5-foot-8, he always seemed to be playing uphill.

More often than not, he makes it up that hill. A standout at San Jacinto High, Hamilton quickly became a mainstay in the Mt. San Jacinto College secondary and ended his freshman year as an all-state kick returner, averaging 21.2 yards including an 89-yard touchdown.

There's more to the story here:
http://www.pe.com/sports/college/ms...cs-hamilton-finds-refuge-playing-football.ece

Hamilton said sports are what kept him in high school. By the time he got to MSJC, his talent was undeniable but a little unrefined. His big advantage was that he knew that and was willing to put in the work to hone his technique, critical to a player almost always giving up height to the receivers he guards.

"He's lightning quick and he is really, really strong," MSJC coach Casey Mazzotta said. "He's probably the fastest guy on the team. If you're challenged in stature, you've got to use your strength and speed."

Then Northern Colorado has been in touch a little, too… I don't really have any favorites - I just want an offer. … I'm going to take a couple visits, but I haven't decided where yet. I'll narrow it down soon … I'm also a track guy, and I did get some sort of offer from Lafayette for track. But I'm about football first. I'd like to run track in college, but I want to be on a football scholarship.

Rivals evaluation:
Evaluation: An impressive looking corner/safety hybrid. Has great speed and acceleration for a player his size. Can shut down big, physical receivers and stick to small, quick types. Has good anticipation; jumps routes and make plays. Must add bulk. Needs to work on all-around mechanics from form to footwork.

Mutual interest:

DE/linebacker Trace Gray
Ht: 6-3 Wt: 225
Position: DE
Silver Creek
Longmont, Colorado

As prolific as the Silver Creek offense is, a closer look at Silver Creek’s 11-1 season reveals a defense that has surrendered just over 15 points a game. Of late the Raptor D has taken stingy to a new level allowing less than 200 total rush yards in the playoffs. Much of this success is attributed to a strong core manned by defensive tackle Ben Woching and linebacker Trace Gray. Wooching, a 6-0 300 pound run stuffer, makes interior rush yards tough to come by. Wooching also has the ability to press the pocket as evidenced by his four sacks. Wooching is supported in the front seven with 6-3 222 pound defensive playmaker Trace Gray. Gray, who has 82 total tackles, leads his team with eight sacks. Along with the sacks Gray has caused and recovered two fumbles.
