It is all about recruiting and signing of players to win in the Big Sky. If you cannot recruit and sign top players than you cannot win games in the Big Sky as talent will prevail during the game over coaching. Losing to a winless Weber State team 32 - 7 at the end of the season is no indication of improvement as that was the biggest game of the season for the Bengals in 2013. Weber State celebrated that day and the ISU players and coaches were sent home to Pocatello wondering what happened. Too bad for the Weber State head coach, he celebrated with his team that day to get his first Big Sky win of the 2013 season but got fired a few days later for having two straight losing seasons. This is the reality of Division 1 football, a head coach continues to have losing season than he will be fired before his contract ends or shortly after his contract ends as most Athletic Directors are under the same pressure from their bosses. Kramer is for sure under big time pressure to win this season as he knows his contract was not extended at the end of the 2013 season and he knows he has had 3 straight losing seasons near or in the cellar. I hope he signs some players that will help him win in the Big Sky in 2014 otherwise it will probably be changing of the guards after the season ends. If he does not obtain some good JUCO players and step down players for the 2014 season than he is doomed as the Bengals football schedule will be more difficult this upcoming season based on the teams they will be playing in the Big Sky. As you are aware, the Bengals will be predicted to finish close to the cellar in the 2014 Big Sky pre-season polls for the 4th straight year under Kramer. That is not good news for the coaches, players, alumni, student body, and fans as the pre-season predictions seem to come true for the Bengals.
