Similar, but it seems like they've take off the upper deck and overhang thing. Maybe this is a good sign bc: 1, they have a 2nd rendering & 2, maybe its more affordable this way. BTW they used one of you guys' uniform photoshop images.

 Yeah, I saw that. That was a 'Nike Pro' PSD template on Deviantart that I used used to make an EWU version. They also used an EWU helmet mockup I made last year from a template I found online an put all over the parking passes, among other things. :|

Damn! Royalties? BTW, are SUU's current helmets one of Willie's or your designs?? Could have sworn I saw that on ChampSub...

I don't know the legal details of those since the templates were available online for anyone to use, however they didn't create their own, just used the ones I created. No, SUU did theirs.

Any insights from the Chaves interview at the cal poly halftime? Seems like he is keeping his cards close to the vest on the Gateway project. He said the project will be started sooner rather than later and that it was in the governance phase.... Anyone, governance phase? He said a few more internal moves before they go external, perhaps determining where to place the track elsewhere etc.?

I believe they have financial commitments that are enough to get the project rolling. The problem is that "commitments" are not the same as money in the bank. Still, I've heard they are working on a pretty ambitious timeline. I sure hope this gets done.

The presentation to the University board I believe is sometime this month. If approved they we roll forward.
Yeah, there's an open BOT meeting coming up, don't know when. Anybody find out and post it? The more support there the better.

I talked to Pres. last night at Coaches show and he said the committee for the Gateway project is still not ready to ask for final approval. They will be making a presentation of updated materials. and expect to make a formal request of the project at the Jan. 2013 board meeting. Moving forward but not as fast as one would hope.

I suppose that's a good thing... it would be akin to going to court before you had enough evidence to prove your case.

and selling out every game certainly helps.

There is a Gateway presentation to the Board of Trustees on November 16th at 8am in the 2nd floor room in Tawanka Hall. The meeting is open to the public and it is expected that all progress to date will be shared with the BOT. This sounds like a great opportunity to learn about the details of the Gateway and also show support for a critical project for the future growth of EWU.

One more day until the big Gateway presentation. Is anyone going?
It's on Friday, not tomorrow, right?
I would like to know the date and time.

The 16th is Friday, so more than a day away.

Got to bed way too late, so I didn't make it out to Cheney for the meeting. Did anybody go?

New mockup in Jim's article.

That is one of the pictures they showed during halftime I think of the Cal Poly game. Personally I like the first rendering/drawings.
Is there less seating for this as well compared to the original?
