One of the best paths for Beau to take professionally is to continue and dominate at this level and wait around until
Kind of like Bohl did?

Different people have different priorities. There's no guarantee Beau won't take a job tomorrow. But increasing his pay increases the chances that he'll bide his time for something better than Wyoming.

And who wouldn't want to get the hell out of Fargo?

So true . . .what an impact on the University it would have. The President keeps on mentioning that enrollment is at a all time high, just think what happens when that get's built and that is the first thing students see . . . . .

My son has multiple D1 offers, including from EWU, to play football next year. During our evaluation process, your current facilities were a serious negative factor, caused pause and hesitation, compared to his other available options. In fact, when we spoke to other recruits- they had the same reservations. Players wants to play in a great environment and facilities- it's a major selling point during recruiting and when recruits have choices where they can play- it's a major factor, period.

The probability of having the Gateway project and the great coaching staff made us feel better about the current facility situation. But if nothing is done, I will guarantee you, regardless of the product of the field, EWU will lose top level prospects. That is an objective fact.

A successful D1 sports program always increases attendance, enrollment and revenues- no better example of that than GU! This program has momentum and is trending upward!!!!! Ride the wave and Get er done! Just my two cents.

THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS!
This does not come as a surprise.
This is the kind of stuff that needs to be forwarded to the admin to get this bad boy moving FASTER! I have money to burn and want to get this moving.
AGAIN I WILL VOLUNTEER MY EXPERTISE AT BUILDING TINKER TOYS :ugeek: and get my Shovel going to start.

That comes as a surprise (to most here in this thread) because alot of you have no clue what the fxck you're talking about.(again, in this thread) Your opinions are fun to read but some of you need to hear POSSIBLE recruits tell you "that stadium kept me from signing" in order to get it thru your head.

Next thing im waiting for is a WSU fan/Spokane resident to come in here and tell you "that stadium kept me from attending" and maybe you guys will see the obvious. :dunce:

That is great insight.

The tough thing for many of us fans is that we don't get to see all of the sides of the sport. And there is so much more than just, "It would be really cool!"

Maintaining and improving the performance of the football program is about more than just one facet. I don't know all of the in's and out's, but being involved in business, I know there is so much more going on then the customers and even employees I supervise understand.

The Gateway project would be a monstrous accomplishment for the football program, university, and community. But it's a major undertaking. The Eagles keep moving the needle on the football program in general. And we see the continued success the team is experiencing. I have to think that the impact the team is having on the national stage is benefiting the university. But will they and donors think it's worth the investment? I personally hope so. They've been able to pull off some amazing improvements already. That would be the icing on the cake!

We need to lock down and pay our coaches first, great coaching and winning games will bring in more recruits than a stadium. If we focus on the stadium and not our coaches we will eventually say "the stadium keeps us from winning"

We have not been able to fill our stadium (west side included) for back to back home semi's on espn, how in the hell can we expect 15k? I hate the if you build it they will come crap. If we can't get 9k to a home semi we will never be close to capacity for 15k plus. I want the gateway as much as anyone I'm just not sure we are ready for it....

I think we are ready for it. We are adding something like 5,000 students by 2020, Cheney and the west plains continue to grow, and every year our attendance improves. As long as we keep winning there's very solid reasons to believe it will payoff. And it's not just the on-field product, seeing new faces from the Spokane business community and public officials attending, the tailgating and games are becoming places to be seen.

As I've mentioned before paying the coaches adequately comes first or at least should be simultaneous with expansion. I'm sure we've lost some recruiting battles because of our stadium but it's also not been enough of a detriment to keep unbelievable talent from coming here. Hey, if a kid chooses Montana, Idaho, MSU, or PSU's stadium over having a chance to play for Baldwin and company...good for them. :coffee:

Right now they are seeking big donors and they are pretty much going to make or break the project.

2015 was the goal, but my guess is if it happens it would be '16 or '17 as I don't see that we have the money and time to finish by 2015 at this point, but who knows.

Its obvious to me if you build it they will come...after the great bowl game blunder by the villain down 195 people want a winning product. Its time EAGS lets get this off paper and get to building.
