Time for Changes

Now that we know Sperbeck's job is secure the focus needs to be the two obvious weak areas of the program, defense and special teams.

Yo, numbers guy...how does Sperbeck having two years left on his last contract change anything about an impending 3 year extension?
Well since we know his previous contract extension was through 2012, this current one was probably a 3 year extension offered sometime during or immediately following the 2012 season. So what has Sperbeck done to garner another extension on top of his current one? Answer: absolutely nothing.

But hey you said a 3-5 year extension will be made during the holidays while everyone is off away from campus so let’s wait it out until the spring. I’ll be on pins and needles awaiting the presser.

I know you just love to throw around the "presser", but if Wanless announced contract extensions with pressers, why didn't you know what Sperbeck's last extension looked like and/or when it happened?
It's obvious to me you don't actually know anyone involved in the day-to-day operations of the athletic department and you count solely on what you read and try to pass it off as knowledge. From your perspective if you don't read about it, it didn't happen.

Last time I checked reading is knowledge.
If it is in print it has a better chance of happening, then based on some insider knowledge that is just rumor or a low chance of actually happening.

If you back pedal any faster you might beat Odiase in a foot race.

I’m not an insider, nor do I claim to be one so yes I depend on info made to the public via “pressers” or articles, or interviews, etc. Yes, if I don’t see a credible source for info I won’t believe it. If you get butthurt because I’m not going to believe what you post without proof then that just sucks for you.

Do you remember reading about the last extension or when the $80K+ raises happened?
Nope, I have yet to see any contract info released which is why that has been a repeated question in this board. Nothing concrete was know until GCM posted that link from the Bee this morning. Had we known, my guess is this thread is nowhere near as long as it is now. And I don't expect to see releases on raises, however I expect to see releases on contract extensions. We saw one for Katz, we saw one for Christiansen, and I'll be waiting for the 3-5 year extension announcement for Sperbeck.

For someone who counts solely on the written word for information you should learn to read better. I was asking you about the last extension, not the impending one...unless in your infinite wisdom you thought his first contract was for seven years. I guess it was convenient for you to ignore the question about the $80K raise.
You obviously hate it when I pull back the curtain and show these guys your 6000 posts don't mean a thing. You are just posting wild-ass guesses as if you have actual insight.

I'll make you a lil' bet and we'll see who the back peddler is...

If I'm right about the extension (and I never predicted a major press release, it will just happen)...you never post again. If I'm wrong...I'll go away forever and you can go back to trying to be the wizard without being constantly exposed.

I can hardly wait to see what excuse you use to get out of this wager.

OSH....since you appeared to beat your chest about being 'in-the-know' and how your insider pearl of wisdom is superior to anyone else, why don't you give us some more info?

Surely a sage as informed as yourself has some insider info as to why the thinking is being floated of an extension? Since your a fly on the wall, spill why they feel Sperbeck deserves more time. Surely this was discussed in depth with the boosters.

Since your old school, your also part of the old school mentality that haunts the program. How about the department become more transparent to the public as it will garner more loyal supporters.

I don't think Sperbeck deserves one more minute of time.

The department will never be transparent as long as Wanless is running it. I've tried for years to catch him telling the truth and have failed miserably.

I came here to garner support to keep the extension from happening. I found three people on this site who might have enough stroke to possibly have influence. Neither you or SDH fall into that category because your reading comprehension is limited, you have an over-inflated opinion of your uninformed opinions and you don't put any real money into the program.

I'm hoping your buddy/girlfriend wins the bet. It means this might have helped and I won't have any reason to be here going forward.

Steve Roberson was fired today. Sperbeck has already started to purge his staff in an effort to save himself.
But I'm sure you guys already knew had that info.

That's a good start!

OSH you have NEVER posted here with real facts. You act like someone who has been hanging out with Ricky Williams. Since you are so in the know, i expect you to post a copy of Sperbeck's contract ASAP so you can prove you are so connected.
