And the answer to the most obvious question asked on this forum was....

OF COURSE HE WAS GOING TO PLAY !!!

I was totally off on that one. That said, my stomach turned every time he tried to scramble. Soooo glad that we've got a bye and he gets an additional 2 weeks for that foot to heal some more before we play PSU. The bye couldn't come at a better time.

Yeah, I'm jazzed for the last game in two weeks. I love only having to roll downtown to see Eastern play. It beats the hell out of a 5 1/2 hour drive...

You probably won't have any difficulty finding a seat for the game.

Not to sound too Griz-ish, but I think there's a decent chance we may have more fans in attendance than PSU.

Honestly, I bet Eastern fans outnumber Viking fans by a 5-1 margin.
Based on photos I've seen of PSU games this year if 5 of you drive over together you will meet that ratio. PSU is a dumpster fire under Burton and their attendance is embarrassing for the conference. Best of luck and pray the goon squad doesn't make an appearance. They have a history of ending seasons/careers with cheap shots.

The way Montana kept our run game in check, I don't think we would have beat them with West.
Agreed, but am very grateful to Jordan for getting us through a rough patch. Looking at the stats they beat us in many categories except the one that counts. We understandably did not see the Vernon of old but I'm sure he will get "it" back with more game time.

clawman,
Great Seeing you yesterday, "Hell of a Game. Got home and crashed, woke up about 11:20 p.m. just in time to see #13 Nic Sblendorio catch on ESPN. That young man is coming into his own, and playing Great. I am not going to be at the "Impulse" on Monday, will be attending the Men Basketball Get Together in another part of Northern Quest, Maslos (sp). Have a Great Day. Vic

Vic;
I'll be in Arizona so won't be there either, glad Vernon was able to play the game yesterday. Was he limping a little on the sidelines?

Cool to see him get the recognition. That Kendrick Bourne catch was pretty sweet as well.

I couldn't see the catch from my seat, but noticed the ref was watching the play transpire while everyone was up in arms about how he didn't immediately throw a flag. I have to assume a flag would've been thrown had he not made the catch.

On that same note, did anyone notice how bad the Grizzly staff bitched about calls? Actually, it wasn't even their staff. They had some sideline people who didn't look like, part of the team running around and shouting at officials. The BSC ought to take a look at that, because it was weird to see guys with sideline passes trying to get involved with the on-field goings-on.

I did notice that, as well as one of their coaches with a headset (the def coordinator maybe) who would come out on the field before the play was over. I kept waiting for the sideline warning call but crickets!

To All,
On the 6 O'clock news KREM-2, they spoke about our FB team. VA spoke highly about the entire team, then here comes #39 Ronnie Hamlin" (Mr. Locs), he spoke about how J.C. is a stud happy he got the record and is still climbing, and the record is just a number. He is very happy where the team is presently. Hope we can get to Frisco 2015, so he can cut those locs. ;) ;) ;) :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: He is going to deliver his hair to a needy Charity for Children. 8-) 8-) 8-). Vic Wallace

To All Montana Players and Fans,
Here is hoping all arrive to their destiny safely. The better team won, and this is not rubbing it in, honestly. You have a great team. I haven't been to Montana since 2005, I remembered when we arrived on our Shuttle Buses, your fans will always hold up a signs stating "This Buds For You". We really appreciate that. Best of luck the rest of the season. Vic Wallace

I noticed that too. Some guys in maroon T-Shirts who had sideline passes that didn't appear to be part of the coaching staff. I noticed them yelling at the refs a few times and wondered who they were. Montana probably should have received at least a sideline warning at a minimum. You're right, the BSC should look into who they're allowing to be on their sidelines.

I was near the Griz sideline and saw the same people. I think it was the field judge who eventually told them they needed to stay back. I'm not going to lie. I loved watching the agony on the face of every Griz player, coach, and fan as the game slipped away from them. Despite their great history, fans, and venue, there remains an enduring conceitedness. I know it's probably wrong, but it's especially satisfying seeing them struggle with reality as we climb to the top.
