DoubleNickel said:That schedule seems like the best in the Big Sky. No guaranteed wins against the weaker D2, D3, or NAIA teams. Last years team gained a lot of confidence at the start of the season when they proved they were able to hang and play with the FBS teams (Utah, Hawaii). Hopefully they can build off that confidence this year and win one of those FBS games on the road. Keep in mind that Sac State, 6th in the big sky(3-5 in the sky and 6-6 overall), gave Colorado State all they could handle last year and missed sending the game into overtime when they missed or had a chip shot field goal blocked in the last minute of the game. We'll have to be at the top of our game from day 1 so we can gain some confidence and momentum from the beginning that was so important to last year's team.
Thats a pretty good analasys, and like you said Cal Poly and NAU are teams that need paying attention to.
But I dont see how good either are going to be, NAU was supposed to have a good defense but both Weber and Montana showed them that they dont as we both put 40+ points on em. Cal Poly lost thier coach, thier Star QB and thier best reciever. That team as of now is a big ? mark
I see Weber losing at most 3 but I think they will only lose 2, and only one in Conf so if anything It will be Montana and Weber again.
My Predictions
@ Wyoming- W 24-17
@ Colo St- L 28-21
Idaho State- W 52-21
@ Portland State- W 45-38
Montana State- W 32-17
@ Eastern Washington- W 33-24 (Will be out for Blood)
Sacramento State- W 45-13
@ Northern Colorado- W 49-17
@ Montana- L 28-24
Northern Arizona- W 45-21
Cal Poly- W 35-28
9-2 overall, 7-1 BSC
It could Easily be a great season as well as a bad season, It is the hardest schedule in the Sky, which makes it that much more exciting.
I honestly think Weber has an opportunity to go Undefeated this year. Wyoming is arguably the 2nd worst football program at the FBS level ( USU is the Worst ). Sac gave CSU all they wanted and only lost by 3, and the game in Missoula as hard as it will be is still very winnable.
