Jordan Talley Highlights... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ym5Qv8wklQc

Looks like he will be a good one...

marc... really?? a good one?? He is capable of outrunning these high schoolers but that does not say much in college. Nothing on the video's demonstrated quick feet. I am not saying he is bad but am not excited from what I see.

The kid plays for a 6A (correct me if I'm wrong) school in oregon that went to the semi's this year. He has 50 TD's and almost 4000 yards in 2 years, he's at least shown he has the ability to be good, I don't know how you can not be a little excited by his numbers or highlights? He runs the 40 around 4.5, if he runs it under 4.5 the Pac 10 would be all over him, and it appears now that WSU will be with Sankey changing his verbal to UDub. If we are able to get this kid instead of WSU, its a big win because it is difficult for us to snag skill positions out of the portland area, this would be a nice get.

Jesuit is always one of the top football programs in the state, private schools have the ability to recruit kids and give scholarships, which puts them at a natural advantage.

EdubAlum,
If you can make it up this way, we have a get together at Northern Quest Casino Feb 2nd, 2001, 12pm-1pm. Coach Baldwin will be discussing the Recruits, and will be showing some of their tapes. This is signing day for recruits. Information was mailed to my email address. Possible on goeags.com, hope so. How is the little one and the family doing? Hope everything is well. I am getting over the back problems, but at times I literally have "pain in the ass" Sorry little ones, shouldn't be reading adults stuff. :D Take care. Vic

EdubAlum,
Sorry for the wrong year, should be 2011, not 2001. I did see Jordan Talley here the Friday the Bookstore was selling the Championship Gears, I didn't know his name. Hope his grades are up to snuff. We will have another great team this year. Vic

if he's at Jesuit, you would have to assume his grades are just fine, even for athletes they have high standards. Unfortunately I won't be making it up there next week, but i'll be up near the end of the month for a board meeting....reminds me i need to buy my airplane ticket. The family is good and healthy, it's amazing being a parent, I'm pretty sure I converted my daughter to a full time eagle fan at the National Championship game!

Hey now, let's settle down with that language Vic.

Hey, anyone have any info about Will Davis? He's a 2 star cb from junior college. He originally enrolled to play at WWU but because their football program got cut he then transferred to a j.c in California. Anyways I found it interesting that he had given Utah State a solid verbal on 1/23, but has an official visit here at EWU today. Anyone got any new info on this?

reveagle,
Got this information from a very good source. Kalm be cool
Reference Will Davis, CB 6-0 155 Central Valley '08 (Now 175)
He was 2nd team all gsl at CV in football. HM all league, and team mvp in basketball, 3rd in state track, TJ 46+ and regional junior champ

He went to WWU to play football, red shirted his first year, when WWU dropped football before his next year, he went to De Anza, California JC for two years. He had a tremendous second season (first team All Cal Region 2 DB) which turned into a scholarship offer from to Utah State. He made an oral commitment to Utah State on Jan 23, but is still supposed to be visiting Eastern this weekend.

Oral Commitment doesn't mean much, I noticed the young Bishop Sinke,RB from Gonzaga Prep had given oral commitment to WSU, he have since changed his mind and now going to attend UW, hope I spelled his name correctly. Heard this information on the News.

Note: We have a MBB on Saturday against Idaho State, might be able to see if he is still around, might come to the game with one of the Coaches. Vic

Just saw a tweet from Chris Fetters at Scout.com that DL Julius Tevaga from Archbishop Murphy in Everett, Wash has verbally committed to EWU.

Thanks Dozy, this guy looks like a really good fit for the program. He has the right attitude about team, studies, and getting a degree.

He should fit in really well and is really going to love the weights and conditioning program EWU has.

Looking at his 2010 highlights, they appear to mostly be OL, and specifically center where he shows good footwork and positioning and gets up the field well. I'm sure he can play the DL as well, there just isn't as much footage of this in his highlight video:

There some real promising DL video from '09 at:

Welcome to the INFERNO Julius!

+1

That'd be pretty cool for the both of them; even though they didn't end up at the same school, they'll be seeing each other game 1 of their college careers.

I know there are others, but are these all the confirmed verbals?

Jake Withnell, South Salem, OR HS TE 6-5 230
Thomas Gomez, Graham, WA HS OG 6-3 280
Andru Pulu, Federal Way, WA SO DE 6-1 251 (Washington)
Jordan Tonani, Spokane, WA HS WR 6-1 190
Cody McCarthy, Boise, ID HS MLB 6-1 230
Jordan Talley, Portland, OR HS RB 5-10 185
Julius Tevaga, Everett, WA HS DL 6-2 305

Little concerned there haven't been verbals from any DB's with both starting CB's graduating. I guess we do have some up and comers with Gauldin, Brown, and Baines, but it'd be good to get another. Hopefully the kid who's visiting will change his mind about Utah State.

Well then picked the right school, then. EWU's physical therapy program is pretty darn good from what I remember. And thanks for the highlights, coach!

Welcome and thanks for posting that, JSB.

NC is paying off...
The 6′5″ 225 Tight End had narrowed his choices down to Eastern Washington and Portland State, and decided to go with Eastern.
“My visit to Eastern was great,” said Boatright. “I loved all the people and the coaches.”
The fact that the Eagles just defeated Delaware 20-19 earlier this month to win the Division 1-AA National Championship played a part as well.
“It’s hard to pass up the National Champions,” he added.
