What's up with CV, Austin Rehkow, why would he pick Idaho??

I know staff looked at Skyler Phillips but passed on him for others. I do not know why and I am not going to second guess this staff.

I'm not sure any of us can question the staff and who they recruit. They know what kind of guys they want and that goes further than rankings and film study. Cool to see Hoffman commit. I read a story a while ago about him. Small town kid who drove into Spokane to play. Seems like a lunch pail kid who can play everywhere. Good stuff

I gotta believe with the close game @ WSU and the two victories in Montana that Eastern's recruiting ability in the Northwest for 2013 just sky rocketed. Heck, even in Idaho...unless a kid is going to Boise St. why would you go to the two other schools?

To live and go to school in an absolutely beautiful place and world class skiing, ice climbing to name a few.

I was wondering the same, especially considering the big questions surrounding the future of their program and historical lack of success as an FBS program. And there's also the 20-7 beating we put on them this season.

Your signature is wrong, we have six Big Sky Championships.

Moscow is actualy a pretty nice college town and the school itself is pretty good. But I agree that their football program is a complete train wreck and it is really only FBS in name only.

Jake Hoffman:

The Greater Spokane League's All-Purpose Player of the Year as a junior in 2011 after literally doing everything on the field. He plays quarterback and safety, returns kicks and punts, and long snaps. As a sophomore in 2010 he was first-team all-league at yet another position: wide receiver. From the QB spot in 2011 he passed for nearly 1,800 yards and rushed for 850.

He also excels in track. According to Northwest Elite Index he beat Bishop Sankey in the 100 and 200 Meters in the spring of 2011 and is considered one of the state's best in the 400 meters.

Ironcally, he lives an hour north of Spokane in tiny Diamond Lake -- the same rural outpost that produced another all-purpose wonder in the 1950s: Don Elersick, who went on to star at Washington State and play in the NFL.

According to northwestprepreport.com, Victor Gamboa, a 6'0/185 Pound WR from Washington HS has given a verbal to the Eags. Welcome aboard. :thumb:

Holy crap... Portland State has a boatload of offers out there and a ton of soft verbals. I don't know how good their commits are, but I'd love to see us make a couple of their best flip at the last minute.

When I was in HS, we got to see a Portland State football practice every summer, and check out their facilities/campus and what not. Their on-campus facilities are god-awful. They practice on a cramped turf field right by the freeway. Their campus is also cramped and pretty much resembles a city block of Portland, with hardly any college vibe. Every time I went there I couldn't believe it was a college. I loved Cheney because of the small college town feel. But anyways Eastern's facilities are much better and that always seems to go well with recruiting. I know PSU plays in a state of the art stadium but I'd rather play in a stadium that sells out rather than having 2/3 of it empty every game. I'd like to see us grab some PSU recruits as well, but it looks like many of them are Oregonians and are homers. One interesting thing I saw is that the Frosh QB that started for PSU last year went to my HS.

I seriously doubt BOZO football players are skiing and ice climbing. Now go watch the BBQ cool as we prepare to dominate you again.
