Looks like Blake Braun is visiting MSU this weekend. Hopefully Baldwin can hang on to him, but I don't like the sound of his tweets.

Geez, that would be a huge loss so late in the game, but these things happen. Hopefully he sticks with his commitment and doesn't drink the Boobs Koolaid.

To live and go to school in an absolutely beautiful place and world class skiing, ice climbing to name a few.

I seriously doubt BOZO football players are skiing and ice climbing. Now go watch the BBQ cool as we prepare to dominate you again.[/quote]
Here is one of our WR last weekend :thumb:

I saw that...sucks for Eastern, but these things happen. Good luck to him.

Interesting to see that he cited Baldwin taking a couple interviews as part of his reasoning. Looks like MSU worked some negative recruiting to their benefit with this kid.

I'm sure we'd do the same. Oh well, good luck to the kid. Better get used to losing early in the playoffs.

Even with Braun, it seems like only 7 verbals is a teally low number for it being this late in the recruiting game. Even our number of offers seems really low. Do we just not have a lot of schollies to give this year?

Its the kids loss, best of luck to him...

Funny that he cites Baldwin interviewing...wouldn't you want to play for a program with a coach that wins and gets looked at than a program where a coach doesn't know how to win a playoff game.

We will be pleasantly surprised come signing day, there are a lot more kids that will verbal, FCS just isn't as highly scouted so we don't receive the news right away. Happens every year.

I think we have 16 Seniors graduating, plus Padron and Kaufman, so we'd be looking to replace around that number. I don't know how many of the departing Seniors were on scholarship, or the number of fulls/versus partials that they'd be looking to replace. But I agree, 7 does seem low, as does the number of offers (according to the interwebs). But I do really feel like the staff is only offering kids that they really want as opposed to someplace like PSU who just throws a ton of offers out there and hopes to get lucky on some of them.

Invariably, there are aways offers we don't know about, and that always show up on signing day.

Ash can't seem to win any big games, save the occasional win over the Griz, which doesn't seem to be as much of a big deal as it once was.

This coming from a fan base that rushed the field after a mid-season victory over the griz.  :thumb:

This coming from a student body that rushed the field after a mid-season victory over the griz.  :thumb:

FIFY. Those were 90% students that did that - it was a fanstastic comeback win. Would you rather have a bunch of students that didn't care about the program or attend games? Our students are passionate. :thumb:

I'll give you the Montana game - Kaufman doesn't jump up and grab that on-side kick, we don't win that game.

Sour grapes on the MSU game. Tell your QB not to throw a pick-6 and your punter not to get his punts blocked. But I guess special teams and defense aren't part of the game.

if you think we beat MSU by "luck", then you truly are a moron. we played one of our worst games of the year with a struggling Freshman QB, and all it took was a couple big plays to beat the Boobcats. Seriously, how is MSU so over rated year in and out when you guys cant ever make it past the second round of the playoffs? When was the last time the Cats even made it past the quarters? 1984?

Not sure why all the excitement about Blake. He is the #2 tackler on a 5-5 team, ho hmmm. He also plays tight end. What good is a 6'2" 215lb. tight end?

  We beat MSU something like 70% of the time, not sure of the exact record but its something like 26-10 all time, MSU is definitely not "rush the field worthy". Once DM graduates, you guys will go to a 1 win playoff team back to a 1 win regular season team that nobody cares about, your QB's in waiting aren't as good as advertised...

sorry, does no one else have a problem with this Colter Nuenaz character's article that paints our university/region in such a negative light? very irresponsible journalism if you ask me, commenting on things like our coaching staff taking interviews which may or may not be true but in the end is nothing more than pure speculation. I know the author is a homer, but this is very irresponsible journalism that I would not expect to come from someone associated with a Big Sky member institution. Very Bush League.
