With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.

2014 Recruits

It's kind of fun to watch these lists evolve. Before the summer is over, there will many more names on our list. By fall it will be pared down quite a bit, and there may be a commitment or two. Honestly, if a player is interested, they shouldn't wait too long to commit this year. We may have 4 or 5 grants to offer, but they will go fast. I love where our team is headed. It's going to be a ton of fun to watch these guys play and develop. :thumb: :thumb:

Nick Babb 6'4'' SG - Arlington, TX - James Martin High.

Don't know anything more about him, other than he is considering Weber State. :thumb:

June is the quiet period. Once July hits there is going to be a lot of news coming in. We should get some early commits this time around. We might even get a verbal commit for next year (I think the Wizard likes to use his official visits before commits happen, not a bad thing to do). Great things are happening for the Cats. This June has been an amazing time for the Cats. The coaches can't talk or contact recruits (compliance isn't this right, please correct me if I'm wrong) during the quiet period, but recruits can visit the school (unofficial and on their own dime) during this time and talk with coaches, players, and play rat ball with the team. I know that Weber had a number of guys, from out of state, yes area players stop in all the time during the summer and late spring, but guys from out of state coming on their own dime is rare, to participate in our June ratball and summer camps. I'm not sure who came but I know we had a couple of major recruits here.

Michael Humphrey 3 Star guy from AZ. It would be a HUGE coup to get this kid.

Temidayo Yussuf 6-7 215 SF Alameda California. He hasn't been offered, but is a HIGH interest guy. Would be cool to keep a guy from the Bay Area on the team.

Just as a heads up...some 2015 guys. NATE GRIMES!! 6-7 190 SF from Las Vegas NV. He is getting interest from New Mexico, UNLV, Auburn, UMASS, San Diego State, Colorado, UCLA, etc etc etc. Would be cool to get this kid, but. Some other 2015 guys:
Kenzo Nudo and Terrence Johnson both SG type guys.

Wow Tal?!? I was wondering what had happen to your frequent recruiting updates. Nice to see the Cats have some really good players. We know that Braxton is coming on a visit. Who else?

Good information Tal. I know that Braxton has been on our radar for well over a year. It really is a fun time to watch the recruiting process. Our list is expanding and that will probably continue for a few more weeks. After that, the list will start to be pared down. It really does feel like there will be some early commitments this year. Our coaches are doing an outstanding job, as usual, in recruiting the right kind of players to help us continue to be a top program regionally and nationally. It seems that we are getting a little better each year. That is a sign of a great program.

This year is shaping up to be another in a long string of sensational years.

It's a great time to be a Weber State basketball fan!

Ran across a great Twitter post today. We shouldn't have to worry about this kid's drive to perform his best.

"Lost 80 pounds as of today and couldn't be happier" (@Ryan_Van_Pelt) 1:15 PM - 21 Jul 13

That's not possible, unless Ryan lost his collection of bowling balls, or something like that. The kid is a toothpick. He needed to gain a little weight and strength. I don't think anybody has ever worried about his work ethic or drive. He is a great kid with a huge up side. :thumb:

Apparently, he had a big backside, too. But it's gotta be gone... What did he eat on his mission? Everything!?!

I'm not believing it. A person can not gain and lose 80 lbs in two years. That is just too much. It must have been a typo or mis-information. Plus, I don't think he is tweeting from his mission. Somebody has pulled your chain...., or kilt, as it may be.
