not sure if this is a verbal but it looks like a good sign.

I'd definitely put this as a verbal. Another great job by the coaches.

Why? The A/V guys make those for basically every player we're recruiting and many of them post them on twitter, to include some that signed elsewhere. I don't think his tweet indicates that he's given a verbal.

He just posted an offer from CAL...so I would say he is still undecided.

If I read correctly, Scout has this kid as a three star recruit. You need to be one good damn kicker to get three stars.

He's the #1 HS Punter in California.

A lot of schools approach recruiting the punter pretty leisurely. They offer partial scholarships and try to test the waters on kickers before giving them a scholarship. I bet EWU offered him a full and actually put effort into recruitment. Great job by whoever took that shot!

Hope we don't punt too often in coming years. Can he play safety or WR or QB too?

I'm not sure there's a tremendous need for linemen in this year's class if the guys recruited over the last couple of years are still in the program. Our offensive line featured one senior and everyone else was a soph or frosh. Hopefully, there'll be a couple more bigs, but I don't expect several more.

Recruiting punters/kickers is tricky. FBS schools can't offer partials so they can walk on and hope to work into a scholarship..unless they are so doggone good they get a full ride offer. Where FCS can offer a partial to a really good punter/kicker and if they don't work out..they don't work out. Kickers in high school kick off a tee so hard to gauge for sure what they can do. I think the kicking game sometimes gets over looked.

Stonehouse has scholarship offers from Eastern and Wyoming. The other schools mentioned have offered him financial aid or preferred walk-on status.

According to this article Stonehouse hasn't given a verbal anywhere.

He's probably mulling over his options which is understandable.

I bet if these are the only offers this month, he comes to EWU to join his former teammate. Moving to an area where you know someone is a big deal to a lot of kids.
