2017 Recruiting: 19 Verbals - Updated 01/31

Usually at this point, we hear very little until or right before signing day. Probably just kids that want to keep it a surprise or don't want to pick their school until they sign. Cant wait until February!
 
Another major factor to consider is many kids commit on or after their visits. We have several visits coming up in the next couple of weeks.
 
Out of politics and back into football, EWU hosted a bunch of official visits today. Most of the visits seem to be kids that have already committed. Here is a new face.

On the recruiting pic says Parker is a DE but he looks like a LB on the hudl. Looks built for a LB and he sure has a nose for the ball!!
 
Parker looks like a pretty big deal, and would be our highest rated comit so far. At just a shade over 6 foot and 205, I can't imagine Eags are looking to have him play DE but who knows. Go get em coaches!
 
Scout has Parker listed as 6'2, 195. Could probably play outside LB, rover, or Safety.

Hope we retain most of the outstanding commits, with Baldwin leaving. I would think since Baldwin is not going somewhere as a head coach, we should retain most of the remaining coaches. And it seems that elevating one of the key assistants would be the best way to maintain continuity.
 
By my count all recruits have tweeted their commitment to EWU. Of course this means nothing until signing day but it's a great sign! This class has the making something special!
