August 23rd vs Sam Houston State on ESPN

To All,
On EWU Web Site, there is a picture of #39, Ronnie Hamlin, receiving his 6th year of Football Back. We are going to have a very potent back field. Ronnie Hamlin and #47 Cody McCarthy had the same type surgery, one had it on the right shoulder, the other the left shoulder. Both of them looked like the "Wounded Warriors" at the Football Banquet. Last year I spoke to Ronnie about his hair, he said he is going to let it grow as long as he possibly can, and then donate his hair for young children that is sick from "CANCER". Even with the injuries they both had last year, they played their butts off. Great Players. With the young LB, CB,DB, and safeties I don't think we will miss a beat. Now must wait for the Spring Practices to see who rise to the top. Go Eagles!!!!! Vic Wallace

EWURanger,
That is a BIG ROGER!!! He was at the Football Banquet, and I saw him at a couple Basketball Games. He came over and spoke to me, he said he is ready to go, but is still rehabbing. He also told me his brother who plays for Saint Louis Rams, had the same break, however, the break for his brother was higher, so he was able to play that same year. Tevin break is lower so it was very hard to heal. April 4th they will be on the field for Spring Practice. Can't wait. Go Eagles!!!!! Vic Wallace

That is great news, Vic. Our backfield should be really great again this year.

I'm looking forward to seeing Tonani and McDonald on the field together. That should be a pretty lethal safety combo. Hopefully, we get some good CB play to help those guys out. That's probably the one area of defense that looks most concerning on paper.

That said, I thought LB would be the biggest area of concern last season... and that turned out to be the best unit on the field! Hopefully, we see that same development from CB next year.

To All,
We have some great LB, keep your eyes open for some new blood. Along with Ronnie Hamlin, Cedric Gonzalez, Albert Havili, Cody McCarthy, Miquiyah Zamora, the new blood will be Cameron Babcock, Shadle, Gaven Deyarmin, CV, injured last year, Jake Gall, Cle Elum, John Kreifles, Modesto Calif., and Zacharia Storms, North Bend. These name does not include any of our Recruits we signed this Feb. Must watch my posting, don't want the enemies knowing what we have available. We will surprise the hell out of our opponents. :o :o :o    :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: . Vic Wallace

We will be on the National stage and need all the EAG nation to be there. The team will be rock solid as usual and the fans need to get out and support them. I know we will be tailgating maybe bring a kiddie pool or two in for comfort. The only support for texas we will have will b some brisket. GO EAGS !

Exactly this.

To All,
New FB Roster is now available as of March 19th, 14. There are 70 Players on that roster. Will Boule is back on the roster, hope he came back. Heard earlier he had quit. Name that is not on the Roster, Christian Fanning (K), Joe Douglas (DL), and Ryan Seto (TE/WR). You will not find any of the Recruits on this Roster, once School starts, they will be added to the roster. Remember we starts earlier, because of the Aug. 23rd game against Sam Houston University. Sorry about the smack on your board. You beat our ass in our house this year...enough said. I just couldn't help chuckling about Obzervers comments about the camera placement. You'll be representing the BSC...I hope you smash the Bearcats ass.

Thanks. Each side has assholes, it's just that the Griz have more total fans and, as a result, more total assholes. You guys are right about the stadium though. While it's gotten MUCH better over the last few years from an atmosphere standpoint, there's still a long way to go. Hopefully the Gateway project is gaining traction behind the scenes. If nothing else, move the damn track and replace the shitty east side stands.

Fwiw, I wouldn't be too surprised to see Todd Raynes compete for a starting job.

And look out for both Havili at LB and Ebukam at DE. Both could be huge impact players.

I think Zach Bruce could be a solid contributor as well. He got quite a bit of PT this year with the injuries at Safety. Jake Hoffman might be another guy vying for playing time at that position.

Agreed on Havili, but I'd be surprised if Ebukam WASN'T a huge impact player in the coming years. He showed a ton of potential with a good true freshman season.

Screaming Eagle 174,
I agree with you, Albert Havili, will raise some hell again this year. Samson Ebukam, is going to be very active on the DL, he reminds me of the way Anthony Larry played. Andre Lino DL will be another one to watch this year, along with many others i.e. Jordan Pulu. I don't think we are going to miss any steps, this team is ready for the season. I just hope John Kreifels,LB, Isaac Anderson,DB, two of my favorites (PIT BULLS), I really like the toughness both of them shows. I have been noticing both of them last year, and they are very impressive. Come September when all will be ready to join the team, we are going the very tough again this year on both sides of the ball. See some of you on Friday @ 4p.m. Will miss Saturday, going to Moses Lake to visit Pastor Jeff Wallace, he is my youngest of three sons. He has is church there now for about 8 years. Go Eagles!!!!! Vic

To All,
Visited campus yesterday, check out Volley Ball Team. First my concern goes out for Coach Wade Benson, he has some illness which will keep him away from the team, how long, don't know. Lets all pray for his speedy recovery. Saw Brandon Kaufman, and Cooper Kupp were both together, heading for the conditioning room. Brandon looks like he could weigh 240 lbs, with a full face of hair. As usual he always stops and talk with everyone in the area. He will be leaving sometime this month, returning back to the BILLS. I did mention to him, should Cooper stay healthy, he could bypass all is records, his reply, Vic, I hope he does. I told him Cooper learned from the BEST, BIG :). With the Recruits, I think we may lose some of our team for Scholarships, especially if a Player hadn't played much. It is a very rough business trying to keep your Scholarships, this is in all sports. Good luck to all, and just hope for the best. Vic Wallace

To All,
Visited Campus on Monday, saw the Football Players on the Red Turf, they were doing sprints, and exercises. The ones that had surgeries last year, didn't do sprints, however, they did the exercises. What I've noticed in our Players is the confidence in the Coaches, Team, as to the outcome for this year. Some thinks they are going undefeated again. Spoke to Cory Mitchell, he had surgery on his left knee after the season, and is now rehabbing. Don't look for any of the ones that had surgery to be playing until about 3 more weeks, if that early. Everyone seems in great shape. We had approximately 8 walk on at the practice. I saw the RB from California, he was out last year late in the season, it was nice seeing him on Monday. His name Samuel Minter, he is a very good friend of Quincy Forte. I know the Coach haven't done anything with the players, look out for the following Players, they were with the team last year, but didn't play.
Isaac Anderson, CB, Cameron Babcock, LB, Gaven Deyarmin, LB, Jake Gall, LB, Victor Gamboa, DB, Jake Hoffman, DB, Jerrod Jones, OL, John Kreifels, LB, Andre Lino, DL, Joe Miles, OL, Jordan Pulu, DL, Nic Sblendorio, WR, Zachariah Storms, LB, Derek Westin, DL. p.s. if you hear a player quit, it could be their scholarship was taken away, for incoming Players Scholarship. Now that is my opinion. Another Player that is no longer with the team, Cedric Gonzalez. It is a tough job, good luck to all. Vic Wallace

Like I said in another post. This will not be the old swing pitch, shovel, sweep speed run to the side lines Bearkats. This will be on us if we do not come out of this game as a winner.
