Coaching rumors

Certainly won't complain if Baldwin ends up staying, but I am cheering him on. Wish him the best of luck, go out and become a millionaire, Beau!

OSU just announced Gary Anderson as their new HC. So realistically the CSU job is the only one that he could be offered but I don't see that happening. We will have Baldwin for at least one more year!

Now lets go get that Natty!!!!

If a high school coach can take Bobby Haucks job at UNLV and go directly from a high school program to a D1 FBS program...anything is possible!

Why do you say that? These things tend to have a serious trickle down effect.

For Beau to leave having one more year of Vernon and Cooper it would have to be a hell of a job which OSU would qualify but with that off the table I just don't see another Head job that is worth him leaving this season. I don't think CSU will offer him the job. Sounds like that they are going to stay in house with their OC Baldwin especially if he wins their bowl game.

Beau is a smart man and is going to put himself in a position to succeed so my best guess is he stays through next season and then takes an OC job in either the Pac-12 or the SEC. I know this might sound crazy but if Kiffin gets a HC job after the 2015 season I could see Mac recommending Beau for the Bama OC job.

No matter what happens Beau Baldwin is the best coach in EWU history and I will always be a fan of his and support whatever team he coaches for.

Now lets go get that Natty!!

Coach Baldwin is obviously a great coach and person and a friend to many of us who post here. Dick Zornes is the greatest coach EWU will ever have, not because of just what he did on the field but what he did off the field. I think Beau would also testify to this if he had time but he's busy winning another national title. The video below is almost twenty minutes but it will demonstrate why I feel the way I do.

I think the more objective description of Beau Baldwin would be most successful football coach in school history if you define success in terms of wins. I think adjectives such as best or greatest are subjective, and in the eye of the beholder.

Gary will do a good job in Corvallis. Built something at Utah State before. I wondered if Alvarez telling him to light up LSU in the second half vs. hand the ball off to Melvin Gordon would impact their relationship. The 0-59 drubbing didn't help either...

The rumor going around was the Anderson grew frustrated with the academic admissions for recruits. It was harder for him to get the recruits he wanted because they didn't meet Wisconsin's admission standards.

If Oregon OC leaves for Tulsa, would they look at Baldwin? Also, any chance Baldwin goes to OSU as offensive coordinator? Discuss....

Let me preface the rest of my comment in I don't really care why Gary Anderson went to Ore St, just glad he is there. Always liked him at Utah St. and think he is the right guy for that type of program.

Looking past the smokescreen that is ESPN reporting... Alvarez can't get out of the way. Who is convinced Wisconsin can't pay their asst's on par with many teams in the Big 10 or has academic standards that exceed Oregon State? If I was politically bent, would believe this story has MSM underpinnings in a Scott Walker spin on underfunding education or something. Not a big fan of ESPN reporting as they have fairly clear biases, example; how can you be the SEC network and not be prejudiced in your reporting or selling of that conference? It denies human nature. Calm down, it is just one man's opinion. ;) Not looking to stir up trouble... Remember it is wrong to use profiling now per the DOJ, but we are all cowards or something... No profiling there... Jeez, I need a cup of coffee.

It appears Montana will be hiring Bob Stitt as their new head coach. Stitt is the current head coach at the Colorado School of Mines at the Division II level. He is regarded as an offensive guru and is known for his "fly-sweep" play, which apparently was used by West Virginia to destroy Clemson in the 2012 Orange Bowl.

montana ad Haslam came out and stated that Stitt has not been hired and that nobody has been hired yet. some grizz fans are speculating that the reason no hire has been made is because they are waiting to announce Baldwin.
