1) They didn't want Baldwin anyway.

or

2) Baldwin doesn't have what it takes to make it at Montana.

Now when McElain goes to Florida/Neb/Mich we should be worried about CSU coming to get him or the possibility of Mac taking Baldwin to be his OC.

My heart is telling me that Beau wont leave with Adams and Kupp coming back but my head is saying there is going to be a good opportunity this off-season for him to get a bigger job and he has to do what is best for him and his family.

My gut right now says he is either the HC at either EWU or CSU next year.

I'm told he interviewed for the job a week ago. He's also rumored to be at the top of the Montana AD's list. Coincidence?

Do you think where his asst's fit makes a difference to Beau?

Who do you think would be the man for our HC position if Coach Beau jets? Is there a clear cut candidate on the current staff or do you think we would have to go external to the program? This is assuming he wouldn't take his entire staff with him.

I could see them going internal, but I think there's several former coaches in the "EWU tree" that would probably be considered as well. Aaron Best, John Graham, Timm Rosenbach...Junior Adams? I know Adams is only a positions coach at BSU, but players love him and the guys is an outstanding recruiter and coach.

No it does not happen anymore, and he had to address the issue. He was starting to get questioned a lot by media and players from what I understand...I would do the same freaking thing, even more so that he plays that school in the playoffs that week...shit if I had already signed the Montana contract and I was Baldwin I would have lied...hes got playoffs to focus on....and like I said I doubt that he is the next Montana coach but holy hell you guys are fun to watch panic...all 10 fans that is.

Oh yes, that's good. Compare the first two years of a head coach to that of a coach 7 years into the program. Obviously Badwin's teams are a lot better than they were in 2008 and 2009.

I wasn't comparing direct match ups. I was comparing the fact that Baldwin has built a very strong program with very limited resources, while Bobby got his ass kicked left and right when he left the spoiled, entitled MIssoula community.

I think winning affords you more exposure, and because of that EWU and Baldwin have been on ESPN and all over national sports coverage plenty lately. the EWU brand is definitely more recognizable than the UM brand over the last decade. Partly because of great marketing, the red turf, big upsets and the national championship, but more so just because of the winning . Natty game, three semi finals, the quarters against Nova and the Sam Houston game this year account for 6 total games on ESPN2 in 4 years. Definitely way more than Montana. And of course there's the random things like EWU being discussed on Game Day and the EWU flag flying at several gamedays. Vernon on Jim Rome. Stuff like that that all adds up. You just don't see Montana with that type of exposure anymore.
