FCS Kickoff: #1 EWU vs. #17 SHSU Game Thread

Either way, my prediction is a fast game, fairly high scoring for the good guys and only minimal sloppiness. I think we'll see some turnovers from both teams and a fair amount of penalties on passing plays that combined with EWU's high powered offense could keep the chains moving early and often.

I think Vernon plays solid with a few big pass plays, but the story of the day will be the running game. Big numbers from the running backs is what I'm predicting. I also expect a special teams TD (or two).

I can't see a new offensive scheme, new coaches, loss of key players can score more than 2 TD's and in fact it could be as low as 1 TD and 2 FG- total 13points.
Our offense has been working together all off season not just practices but practically everyday. Timing will perfect. I can see us scoring 2 TD's per qtr for a total score 56.
Remember when the Bobcats came to Cheney are we scored EVERY time we possessed the ball? look or a repeat!

Ahhhh, year after year we here the same bold predictions,
and year after year the same results,
Different teams, Sure
we have added size and strength, but gave up some skill spots
for sure. I am most impressed with this new coaching staff,
they have been pushing Hard, and over all , that has been our
biggest upgrade,
and at the End of the Day, to be the man you got to beat the man,

Good point Ron, I do not think they can score even 1 TD per qtr much less 6 TD's for the game. Given their new offensive system depending on the running game I do not see it. We are very strong, deep and experienced at linebacker so runs will be at a minimum.

Be careful that time of the am coming to Cheney. We are going to Surprise the TV World. This team is an "Outstanding Team", I am very much impressed with team, especially the Recruits. Five Recruits have made the team, and they will shine. #35 Nzuzu Webster, DB, #46 Connor Bauman, TE, #88 Terrence Grady WR, #93 Marcus Saugen, DL & #96 Patiole Pasefea, DL, and they are damn great. BTW wear RED,RED,RED. We want to "RED OUT ROOS FIELD". Again take it easy here to Cheney,and back. Go Eagles!!!!! Vic Wallace
 
As a Weber State fan and Big SKY FAN in general, I have to say Lets GO Eagles!! I will be wearing my EWU T shirt and watching on ESPN :thumb:

GREAT VIDEO!! Wish I was coming to this game. Havn't been to EWU for 20 years now for a game. A lot has changed there since then.

Thanks Vic. Looks like the weather will favor a safe trip. Wish we had daylight, but it'll be worth the long dark drive. Just got a job that will have me in Cheney a year from now, so this may be our last season making this drive. And probably my last season without season tickets ;)

To All,
Went to the "Walk-Through" today, very busy at the University. Saw three Cameras under the Press Box, two on the field by the Score Board, and one in end zone in front of Score Board. Also a bunch of Tailgaters and Motor Homes gathering in all lots available. Left about 10 minutes before the practice was completed, my little one wanted to go to Salvation Army for their Friday night gathering. Was nice seeing all of our Players in uniforms ready for the big day tomorrow.. Only injuries are D'Lando Tucker, Miles Weatheroy, & Lauren Wright Jr.,everyone else is ready for tomorrow. First Congratulations on the job in Cheney in the next year. The weather for the am is supposed to be great, with the high of 75 degrees. Once you get here, you will find a lot of the Tailgaters up, and moving around having breakfast, etc. :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: . Kind of :( , drove by the President House today, and saw the Moving Company there packing and loading his furniture, etc, President "A" will be there for the Game, then maybe head out after the completion of the game. He will be greatly missed. :nod: :nod: :nod: . Then our last year for our Seniors, it is like loosing some of my Children away from home, great bunch of young men and women. Go Eagles!!!!!
