Final - 2014 Recruiting - 26 Verbals

Can anyone help Me out and help get this kid a look from EWU here is his Senior Highlights Corey Harrison Senior Highlight's @Hudl http://www.hudl.com/athlete/500631/highlights/111533381" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; he will play OL OR DL

I would email it to coach Sawyer, the recruiting coordinator. Odds are against you at this point with the NLT signing day just around the corner. But who knows- give a shot nothing to loose. Worse case scenario, he can walk on and that will guarantee him a look :thumb: .

air045,
Will drop Coach Sawyer an email, he will be expecting the tape, etc. Nothing to lose. Here is hoping for the best. We lost a tough one yesterday, still love this team, they will be back next year. Thanks! Vic Wallace.
p.s. EWU Mens Basketball Team is on Fox 1 TV right now, playing Seton Hall, down 38-36 at the half. Doing ok in Jersey. Vic Wallace

Mega Tron,
Got an email off to Coach Sawyer a few minutes ago. They might be home now for Christmas, make sure you get the Highlights off on Corey, good luck. Vic Wallace

Just asking------Coach Baldwin has been super successful--------any rumors about him departing? Or do you see this staff staying together?

A few assumptions on my part based on what we know of Coach B:

1.) Baldwin will probably stay in the Western Part of the country, whatever job he is at.
2.) There are currently no available FBS positions that fit that criteria.

There is a chance that our D Coordinator could leave (He is a finalist for the CWU job), but other than that I think the current staff will be here for a while.

Rivalsl just announced that Cole Karstetter, **Ferris, WR/DB, 5-11 170, has made a solid verbal commitment to Eastern. He was named second team db on the AP Washington All-State team, and was the Defensive MVP of the Greater Spokane League.

Confirmed, will update the board.

According to Rivals the following who have an Eastern offer have made verbals to other schools:
John Porchivina OLB Fresno State
Earl Chism DE Yale
Donavan Lee CB Colorado
Terran Hasselback OLB Western Michigan

Reilly Hennessey was named the 2013 Washington State football Gatorade Player of the Year.

He has a big up side.

Thank you for the edit Obzerver. :-)

Like the idea of adding competition to the existing roster. All these young men can get it done on the field, good competition makes them better through spring ball and beyond.

non-sequitur -- Any feedback on the new Strength and Conditioning coach and his focus for the football team.

Manu Rasmussen 6-0 165 was first team 6A All State as a RB with over 12 yards per carry, 1150 rushing yards, and 21 TDs, but my guess is he will be one of the candidates to replace Baines and Lee at corner next year at Eastern. He was also first team All State at Tigard as a DB.

Ok - the first post of 2014 !

Here's to 36 days until National Letter of Intent signing day- can't wait!!!

As much as it pains me to say it, I feel we will lose Connor Cain to Wyoming. Wyoming is a lot closer to home for him and choosing a University close to home means a lot to most kids.

Way to have a positive attitude about it. I think there's a great chance he sticks with his commitment. It might be a lot closer to home, but have you ever been to Laramie, Wyoming? :ohno:

We may not have been hearing much recruiting news lately because Dec 23 to 31 (or to 1/3?) has been a dead period where there can be no interaction between coaches and athetes or family members at any location. I believe Feb 3 to Feb 6 is also a dead period for recruiting. Someone with more knowledge might want to explain the quiet and dead periods for recruiting at the FCS level.
