DII Western Montana :ohno:

Yeah, I'm pretty sure Montana-Western isn't even D-II. I believe they are NAIA.

This isn't as bad as it seems. Eastern gets a glorified scrimmage before heading to Seattle to play the Huskies, who will be in their opener. Coincidenally, I believe ESPN is still talking with the NCAA about moving a slate of interconference FCS games to Aug 23 for national telecast, of which one would be Eastern hosting Sam Houston State.

We played Air Force in 2004, IIRC. I think it was the first game EWU played since I started at EWU in fall 04.

After checking... close. It was the second game of the 2004 season.

Eastern plays these games primarily for the money. I don't see any of the service academies giving that much of a pay out to go play them. I'd like to stick with playing the Pac 12 and if we have to have a second "money" game maybe a MWC or Conference USA team.

Air Force was a fun game environment for sure. Of course, it would have been better if we won, but we hadn't figured that part out yet. It was about 70' and sunny. The stadium isn't huge but it's built so the crowd is kind of on top of you, lots of energy. That was right before the season started to take us for a crazy ride

Question??

I'm still looking for an OFFICIAL 2014 EWU football schedule as I have to bid my yearly vacation in the next month for 2014. I've seen unofficial ones, but can someone POST something they are fairly certain they think will happen? Clawman, Vic, Screaming Eagle, etc! Thanks for any help.

Forgive me, I'm not the brightest tool in the shed. So just for clarification: does SAC imply Sacramento State? Or is there a different team called SAC?

Yes, Sac State. Also, the UNI game in 2015 is an away game; seems every H/H we schedule, the other team is insistent on playing at home first. They want the chance to back out of playing on the red. Pussies. :ohno:

There had been talk of the Bison/ Griz game being on ESPN, what are the chances of EWU vs SHSU being on ESPN??

An interesting theory on why the 2014 schedule has not been released yet...

I would love to see this happen!

THIS WOULD BE AWESOME!!!

That would represent even more exposure for the EWU football program. Success begets success, and it's awesome to see it happening!

I am loving the fact that we picked up another game with the Dawgs! I think they know they are in for a loss and want a little redemption later on. Also kind of like the fact we play on a Friday in Portland now keeps everyone more focused and ready to go for the final game.
