Hawaii vs UNC

I have to say. It's much better to face off against a team like the D1aa UNC BEARS. Grrrrr. If we had to play DII Chadron State, I'd really be pissed.

You guys wanna keep a couple of our Samoans for Chadron St. ? We don't mind. We play La Tech the week after, so we won't miss a few. You just gotta feed 'em for two weeks so's we can use 'em when we play at UNLV the following week.

 Oh. Feeding a couple of Hawaii based Samoans for two weeks. I'm sorry. It might cost you the windfall profits earned playing Hawaii for a victory over the Division II Chadron State Eagles.

Spam Musubi?

Wasn't he the old UNC beat writer for the Tribune?

Close, that was Sam Mustari. Spam Musabi is a Hawiian dish which is basically Spam sushi. It sounds terriable, but tastes delicious.

Hey, I was just trying to help our troubled AD balance his budget. No takers? Fine.

Spam musubi. Hmmm. Squid luau. Chicken Katsu. Lau lau. lomi salmon, fish & Poi, pork & cabbage, pork & peas.

It was a Trojan horse.

I do wish your team well with the rest of the season though. The better you look, the better we look.

Trojan horse or no, we could probably use the size, plus one of our campus dining halls allready serves chicken katsu every tuesday. :)

Did anyone else watch Hawaii's bowl game? They have a ridiculous offense.

Their Quaterback - Colt Brennan is the best qb I have seen in ages. He just doesn't miss. He throws perfect spirals everytime. Mark my words, he wins the Heisman this year. There is no way any 1-AA team keeps Hawaii under 50 points, even my beloved Grizzlies.

So, enjoy the experience of playing against one of the best quaterbacks in college football, and one of the better teams in div 1-a (excuse me Bowl Division). Hopefully the money will help you guys build a decent program in Greeley.

Prediction

Hawaii Alot

UNC Not Alot

There is complete footage of the Hawaii/ASU football game out there on bit torrent if your curious (Haw-asu by Demonoid) The score at the half was 10 - 3 ASU. I recommend downloading the 2nd half for obvious reasons.

Next years defense switches to a 4 - 3 from Jerry Glanvilles 3 - 4 so you won't get much insight on Hawaii's defense from the footage. The offensive stars are the same minus the two GIANT runningbacks (both drafted in the NFL)

The players are up for the challenge, puts a good check in the bank, and If there are no serious injury problems from the game, it is worth doing.

As a player, I would be thinking about this game all summer long.

All right, bears. September is a good month to check out Hawaii. Hotel occupancy is at a minimum, so you should get great deals and plenty of choices. How many of the faithful, bleeding blue and gold, bears fans are thinking of coming to Hawaii?

Just curious.

Like anything. It takes a few months to make something that may seem impossible a reality.

Your boys have got to be up for this game. We love football. Let's have a good time!

I recieved my Northern Vision (Alumni mag) and noticed the alumni association IS planning a get together before the game. Should be fun! Maybe by some miracle I could afford it by Sept.

I saw that too, it interesting how the first announcement of the game came from the alumni assiocation

September is off season in Hawaii.

Even if you wait 'till the last minute, there will be deals on trips to Hawaii. Air, room, and car deals should be sweet. An upgrade to a van for the whole gang should be easy.

Aloha.

Aloha Stadium, just on the north side of Honolulu as I recall.

Central...Southside. The Northshore is where all the winter surf is at. It's just 10 minutes from the airport....30min from Waikiki. Honolulu is the capital of Hawaii on the island of Oahu. It is an international airport with many options for connecting flights....

Getting to this game should be as easy as getting to Vegas.
