Hawaii vs UNC

Aloha Stadium, just on the north side of Honolulu as I recall.

Central...Southside. The Northshore is where all the winter surf is at. It's just 10 minutes from the airport....30min from Waikiki. Honolulu is the capital of Hawaii on the island of Oahu. It is an international airport with many options for connecting flights....

Getting to this game should be as easy as getting to Vegas.

You seem like a good fan SundayJam. You should stop by at the UNC alumni tailgate and say hi. Hopefully, I'll be there but if I'm not, others I'm sure would be glad to see a friendly native.

This game has good times written all over it. Show up in your colors, you will find a lot of friendly natives.

The way I see it, even though its a bit of a mismatch, both schools love football. So it's bound to be a good day for football. We won't take a D1aa team lightly either, June Jones has lost to Florida Atlantic and PSU.

If you want to follow the local viewpoint, I recommend this blog:

http://www.sportshawaii.com/hs/

There should be talks about tailgates closer to game time.

For those of you that are considering forking over the money and the time to go to the game, I highly reccomend it. I lived in Pearl City for 6 years and there is no better place to be than Hawaii. The island of Oahu has some of the best beaches in the world and the people are very friendly. I miss plate lunches and li hing mui.

Unfortuantely, we can't make it because we are going to Ireland this summer and our vacation money will be spent (I do plan on trying to make the Purdue game next year).

Do you guys remember The Bad News Bears? The original starred Walter Mathau and the new version starred Billy bob Thorton?

I have this crazy idea that this game is gonna end up something like that. Ol' Billy Bob's gonna show up with his cooler of beer and his lawn chair to coach. Your best player is gonna play both sides of the ball...making touchdown passes...and intercepting Brennan's passes on D.

I can only begin to imagine what you guys must think of us.

I will tell you what I think of UH. I think of it as a mediocre to bottom of the barrel, at best, division IA (or whatever they call them now) team and is really a mediocre WAC team. You got dominated by Florida Atlantic the same year that we lost to them by 1 point (i think) and we should have won the game against FAU. If UNC wasn't having down times right now I would think we would wax UH. I have always thought it was weird that UH has the same mascot and colors as the gay movement and I am curious who started using the colors and mascot first. Not that there is anything wrong with being gay . . . . Actually, you should stop beating around the bush and start using a stereotypical flaming gay guy as your mascot.

Prior to this game being announced, I would guess that I had spent a total of 30 seconds in my lifetime "thinking" about UH.

I hope beyond hope that UNC can somehow pull off a miracle victory so that UH can realize that its delusions of grandeur are just that.

Well, you were wondering what we think of you and that is my best effort to let you know.

He are quite the delusional person, probably the most uniformed and stupid UNC fan here :?

UNC should play more FBS teams in their area, Wyoming, Colorado, BYU, etc. Unless you can pull more of these big pay days off.

The professional sportswriters disagree with you.
Lindys Sports has us at #19 nationally next season.

You got dominated by Florida Atlantic the same year that we lost to them by 1 point (i think) and we should have won the game against FAU. If UNC wasn't having down times right now I would think we would wax UH.

Which is why we won't take you for granted. This is football sir. Anyone can win on any given Saturday. I think the homefield advantage works against us with DII (nonchampionship?) teams. The adrenalin rush they get from playing in a supercharged atmosphere takes them to a new level. It's not the quiet, lethargic atmosphere that your used to.

I have always thought it was weird that UH has the same mascot and colors as the gay movement and I am curious who started using the colors and mascot first. Wow. That's a lot to think about in 30 seconds time. I guess homophobia brings out the most in you. At the request of Homophobes nationwide, we dropped the 'Rainbow' from our logo. You can just call us the Warriors now. Don't worry, your boys are safe. It's gonna be a good, clean game.

I hope beyond hope that UNC can somehow pull off a miracle victory so that UH can realize that its delusions of grandeur are just that.

I hope your football team puts a little more effort into their game than you do. If not, a miracle will definately be required for a win.

Bad News Bears Vs. The Stereotypical Flaming Gay Guy?

That's almost funny.

Dude. It's a trip to Hawaii. It's a bowl game at the beginning of the season. It's not only about the money.

Mediocre..Your kidding right. We finished 2nd in the WAC only losing to BSU who won the fiesta bowl over OU and we had to play them at their house. We only lost by a TD while other teams got blown out.
We are now the Rainbow warriors. We beat Purdue from the big-10 who had a winning record overall. Have U guys ever beaten a team like that...Oh yeah your still a 1aa team I almost forgot.

Dominated they beat us in overtime DUDE. Plus that was what 3 years ago. We don't even have over half the guys that were on that team on this years team. Having down times. Even if UNC was at their prime they still would get there ass kicked by UH.

I have always thought it was weird that UH has the same mascot and colors as the gay movement and I am curious who started using the colors and mascot first. Not that there is anything wrong with being gay .

Another Dumb Ignorant Mainland Haole...What a shock. Keep saying that because come gametime UH is gonna show no mercy. U guys are a tuneup game for us. Colt Brennan will be pulled out by the end of the 2nd quater. Our 3rd team is even better than your first team.

Prior to this game being announced, I would guess that I had spent a total of 30 seconds in my lifetime "thinking" about UH.

WHO THE HELL IS NORTHERN COLORADO??
Another Backwater School in the middle of nowhere.

I doubt that very much. In our prime we would have beaten a lot of 1A teams.

No you wouldn't, you guys just became an FCS school and you have done crap. Hard to say stuff like that when you played at such a small level of play.

UH fans,

just forget some of this, it's all hog wash, UNC made a lot of BSC fans wonder why we let them in the conference. Last year they came to Portland and looked like a high school team at best. we had to bring in the 2nd stringers in the 3rd quarter. Some of the fans here are real nice and level headed, for get the ones that think they are a power in the FCS, cause they aren't. they are a Big Sky Conference bottom dweller.

Hence I said "in our prime" Obviously we're not in our prime. No fan here is denying that. We've got a proud history here at UNC, these past few years have been our down time. Every program has to rebuild and it's too bad we had to rebuild during transition years which makes it even harder.

We had a brand new coach, brand new qb, brand new offensive coordinator (who thank the Lord has left), brand new defensive coordinator, etc., in the second game of the season. Of course we're going to look bad.

Like I said UH fans, most UNC fans here are realistic about their position.

Beardown, how did that famed WR you guys have(can't remember his name) do in spring? Also your transfer from Wisconsin, is he in Greely?

hawaii fan wanted to know what UNC fans thought about their school so I told him/her what I thought and then I get attacked for posting my response.

Apparently, it is ok for fans from other schools to come on here and rip us and I have had to bite my tongue because most of the insults are well founded. However, when you ask a question like the one that hawaii fan asked, how am I supposed to reply? You laid out my opportunity to smack you on a silver platter and I took that opportunity and ran with it--and the best part is that I struck a very sensitive nerve :D . That is absolutely precious. So you took the rainbow part out of your name--I'm sorry, I was not aware of that. So I guess you are now just the flaming warriors. Don't feel bad, the greeks and romans had many gay men in their armies and they were very effective troops, in fact, they struck terror in most of their enemies. The flaming warriors is a very intimidating name now that i think about it.

I promise you that your opinion will change when you team goes back to Greely with 400K and an 80 point loss.

When was the last time UNC beat an FBS school? Ever????

Andy Birkel (WR) did fine during spring drills but was held out of physical play because he's still recovering from season ending surgury from last season. You didn't see him in Portland, he was out all year. As for our transfer from Wisconson, I think he'll be fine. We'll be pretty good at CB next year if our other guy stays on the field and out of trouble.

where did Birkel come from? Transfer? straight up recruit?

You will need that DB vs UH that's for sure.

In your opinion, which is your biggest asset, offense or defense?

first of all man do some research before you start running your mouth. The RAINBOW is a symbol of LIFE and an omen of good things to come in the Hawaiian culture and other polynesian cultures. That is why UH was known as the Rainbow Warriors. That was in effect before the gay movement went on. Besides, our RAINBOW Warriors have accomplished a lot more than UNC did so far. You have had pretty good teams in the past, but nothing really all that noteworthy. tell me of a few successful UNC alumn in the NFL? I can't think of one.

You are entitled to your opinions my friend, but just know this much....go and tell your classmates who are from Hawaii or any polynesian for that matter who is at your school that you dont think much of Hawaii and the rest of your nonsense and get back on this forum and tell me how that went. They will show you how gay us coconuts really can be. In fact, Esera Tuaolo who is from Hawaii and made it to the NFL and played well.***DELETED BY ADMIN***
