Although it is still very early and there are a lot of unknowns in the sac st. athletic department, A person I know will pursue this Job based on what happens is Randy Stewart. From what I know of him I think he would do a great job and have the ability to bring in a knowledgeable young but experienced staff.

Is that the same loser that was fired by Cal?

That would be the guy!

Randy? What do you think you could bring that we don't have or had before?

Interesting. I wonder if his former boss at Cal, Andy Buh, will also pursue the job?

That would be interesting if Buh pursued also. Don't know much about Buh. Got to know Randy over the past 10 years while at the Fresno State high school team camps. He has developed numerous nfl DB's.

Of course there is this about Randy's departure as DC at Fresno State.

He decided to "resign" as Fresno State's DC mid season 2011 after he gave up 48 points to New Mexico State, at the time his defense was ranked last in the WAC. A resignation under those circumstances screams "resign now or be fired to me". No thanks, if the job is open we have a right to expect better candidates than this. I want to see candidates with a consistent record of success apply. This is a good position which pays more and has more potential than most other FCS positions. We need to be selective and get it right.

How would you guys feel if Paul, hornet OC, was promoted to HC?

What HC experience has he had? He has been here far longer than Sears, I think if that was a good option Wanless would have gone with him rather than Sears when Sperbeck resigned.

Good point. The lack of HC experience, however, does not mean he can't be a successful HC. All HCs get started somewhere. The O has improved under his command. I wonder if could improve the team as a whole?

Being a HC is so much more than the X's and O's. It is about leadership and recruiting. Getting the right coaches around you for the schemes. If Sears stays the biggest question is who would go?

Well at this point the D Coordinator would have to go, his squad has been worse. How does a HC fire himself? My gut is if he stays he brings in his own defensive staff, and brings in a ST coach...

And yet people whine about the TN high school that fired their coach and replaced him with the softball coach. It was the LEADERSHIP that prompted the AD to make that move....

Bob Shook....

Sperbeck fired himself as the OC? Hired Paul Peterson. I know the defense has not stopped a lot of people, but really just seems that is the trend of the type of football that is being played.
Big Sky DC's that would be fired

EWU DC
MSU DC
SAC DC
ISU DC
UCD DC 77 Points Ouch!!!!
PSU DC
Cal Poly only does not give up a lot of points do to the other team not running as many plays. But they give up there share of points. NAU offense is bad, Southern Utah offense is not as good as years past. Portland State offense not very good either. South Dakota State put up points vs. the Mustangs expect the Hornets to do the same

This is a joke right?

Not at all, OH. While Shook's primary responsibilities were the D-Line, he DID have a fairly credible ST operation going on. Not to mention oversight of the academic compliance program. While I was around, he made [bleep] sure that players went to class and applied themselves.

You just lost all credibility, the game is different. Different rules in academic game and different division and level play. Hey let's hire some other old timer

Lets bring back Pielstick as AD and I am sure Moosh has gotten his Ph.D, by now, so he could be the new Prez.

SH, sometimes I wonder if you drink alkali water?
