Carl, PSU plays at McNeese in Lake Charles Louisiana on Labor Day weekend, and that's pretty near Texas! Where in Texas do you live?

Welcome!! Glad to see the geauxcowboys.com admin here.

I found my way here from the Northern Colorado board.

Well, its hard to say. Part of me really likes him, he has a lot of good experience at DI programs, however, he had a very rough season last year, with the 1-11 record and all the off-field incidents. He will have to make some tangiable improvements this season to keep my respect.

I've seen the posts by psufan10 over on eGriz inviting folks to visit this board so I thought I would check it out. It is interesting to get other perspectives around the BSC.

I have family in Seattle and Portland and Portland was was one the areas of the country I thought would be ideal to live when I was looking to move out of Montana. But life had other plans for me. I finally found an employer in the great state of Texas who could afford me, so after attending home games in Missoula with a few trips to Pocatello and such, I moved to Big XXII country in May of 2000.

Texas Tech was about as far away as Missoula was from Helena and in 2000 they had 8 home games including the Cornhuskers and the Longhorns so I bought a season ticket. I paid $450 for a seat dead center on the 50 yard line about 17 rows up from the field. In spite of that it wasn't the same so I still travel to take in a Griz game every so often. I came very close to attending the game with the Ducks in Eugene a couple of years back, but the work schedule didn't permit it.

All in all, college football fans are great and I have met my share of them. I liked the posts of the PSU fan on the Griz board inviting folks over here so thought I would do just that. I think it's great to have spirited but civilized banter about everyone's favorite teams.

This will be an interesting season with your new HC and (fingers crossed) Lex Hilliard back and healthy. Should be a great game in Missoula.

Thanks for joining, looking foward to your posts.

Me and the wife are talking about going up to Missoula for a game this next season, PSU would be the logical choice. Think I will start making plans.

It's possible that game will decide who wins the BSC.

I'm Susan - just the Mom of a Vikings receiver. Because I am in CA, I try to keep up through the various sites. Keep up the great work here.
And of course, I love Rob's Pics...[/img]

Hi Guys,

You already met CBuck, the System Administrator for GeauxCowboys.com He and McNeese72 are the heart and soul of our messageboard. Chris is too modest to mention that he holds the all time McNeese record for most consecutive games attended. I think he hasn't missed a McNeese football game since the mid 1970's....It's some ridiculous number up in the 300's now...

He's also the President of the McNeese Athletic Foundation, which oversees all of the McNeese booster activites.

When he's not working, raising funds and otherwise promoting McNeese athletics, he's moderating our messageboard, which is where I come in...

Since he clearly doesn't have enough on his plate, I contribute toward keeping him busy and on his toes by posting content which is so close to being objectionable that he probably pulls his hair out trying to figure out whether or not he's going to allow it. I know he appreciates my extra-effort in that regard...

Hope to hear from you guys as we get closer to kickoff. Is there much smack on this particular message board?

- Jay

Wow! Is that home and road games?!

I was born and raised in Bobcat country (Montana State University). Started college at MSU but transferred to the University of Montana. Bobcats were my team for years , but now call the grizzlies my team (bobcats are now my second favorite team despite their fans). I have always enjoyed great athletic competitions and performances, even if my team comes out on the losing side. PSU's athletes are always top-notch and fun to watch play. Put it all together this year and we'll meet for the BSC title later on.
