New offer from the Denver Post preps notebook
http://www.denverpost.com/preps/ci_18638498:

Another scholarship from Northern Colorado.

The football coaches at Northern Colorado have made it clear this spring and summer how important recruiting Colorado athletes is to their program. They offered at least 16 scholarships to the state's 2012 prospects and many more are likely to come during the upcoming football season.

The most recent athlete we tracked down to be holding an offer is Bear Creek wide receiver/punter Nick Dalton. This senior is one of the most versatile athletes within state borders and it is obvious that he will be playing college football at the Division I level.

will add to master list in OP.

also:
Named All-Colorado by the Denver Post after his junior season. Averaged 47.5 yards per kick with a long of 68 yards. Also served as the team's place-kicker.

Adding to the list of known offers:

DE Alex Barrett from Mesa, Arizona, Desert Ridge 6'1" 235 ... has committed to San Diego State, but newly offered by UNC. He has offers from Air Force, Montana, San Jose State and now UNC. Not sure why we offered a committed player, but there must be a reason he's in play.

DE Zech Green has an offer from Colorado and says he favors them (in August), but hasn't committed anywhere; keeping his options open. UNC is his other offer at the moment.

DE/TE Morgan Fox of Fountain Fort Carson HS also reports an offer.
He's 6-4 and 220 lbs. From Scout: Fox has made 36 tackles, 4 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, 5 fumble recoveries and blocked a FG so far this year.

Rivals also teases with the headline to a premium story "Two New scholarship offers from Northern Colorado (9/27)" but if it's not Green and Barrett, I don't know who else (yet.) Since CoPrepReport only deals with in-state players, it rules out Barrett, but I'm not sure they are talking about Green, either.

Any ideas?

Another one I had missed:

Scout.com has confirmed that Englewood (CO) Cherry Creek TE Christian Rebhun has received his first scholarship offer.

Christian's father tells us that Northern Colorado has offered the 6-5 235 pounder and he also has been in contact with Colorado, Colorado State, Montana and Montana State.

I don't think this one has been mentioned:

Christian Rebhun - 6'5" 235 TE (cherry creek)

Also:

James Dowgin - 6'1" 180 DB/WR (greeley west)

http://hscolorado.scout.com/a.z?s=385&p=8&c=1&nid=5705684" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Doesn't have an offer from UNC, but has interest it seems.

Good catch!

I'm know I'm only doing a half@$$ed job of keeping up with this, but I'm trying. 8)

On the first post, I'm going to move the guys who have committed elsewhere to a second section, so we can see who is still on the board.

If you hear of anyone I've missed, please post here, and I'll add to the original list when I check in.

Think we might as well have a section for "interested, no offer yet" too, because those guys can be our bread and butter sometimes.

Wow, from NJ to AZ. Ambitious going after kids who have offers from much higher rated programs than ours.

Way too many kids from Colorado! Need to spread their wings and get out of state. Need to recruit more OL and DL players. You can't get the ball playmakers if you're O-line is weak.

Not impressed with the QB selection. Averaging 95 yds a game.....there has to be better out there.

Taylor Risner (looks athletic but I think he would get killed trying some of that stuff in the Big Sky):

He's being recruited as an athlete numb-nuts. NOT a QB.

Having only 20 out-of-state schollys is a huge factor. However, don't just read all the HS guys and think that's it. The JUCOs are at a point they can begin to take their visits.

I noticed that as well. How does that work? Do we hope the kid wants to play another position?

Could play multiple positions probably.

another UNC offer has been announced, this time to a JC player.

Morse has three years to play two at the next level.

Last night on the coaches show, Collins mentioned we already have a commitment. Does anyone know whome that might be???
