Come to the game tomorrow and you might see the team wearing something you've seen floating around social media in the last week.

I read in the Standard that not all of the players will be playing in the Dame's. I think it should be either a full team thing or no one. It will look dumb seeing some with them on and some with them off. A team should make decisions as a team not as individuals. Maybe a sign of what is affecting this teams performance? They aren't really a team?

But, lets all be honest, pretty sweet having these shoes available. Says a lot about what Damian is trying to do for Weber State and how he feels about the school. He is proud to have come from Weber!! Once a Wildcat always a Wildcat! I would love to see the entire team wearing them tonight and this weekend. :thumb:

I'd rather they just win and if they are more comfortable in their "regular" shoes so be it. Maybe one of the players prefer's a high top... As for the shoes determining if they are united or not, WSU has never had every player in the same shoe, just similar color schemes, again based on what each player is comfortable with. I don't have any problems with it, and if any of the players size 10.5/11 doesn't want his Dame1's I'll gladly take care of them.

Not true, but I agree with your take.

I know the comment was in jest, but please don't offer to buy the shoes from the players. It's against NCAA rules for student-athletes to sell or exchange items they receive as a result of their participation in athletics (see Ohio State tatoogate, Oregon basketball last year, etc.).

This season has been a total bust. Bolomboy is soft and has taken two huge steps back. I'm hoping for a two wins, but I don't know if that will happen. Go Weber!

I'm not in agreement that Joel is soft? He's playing a position that doesn't fit his skillset. Some athletes pout when their coaches ask them to sacrifice on behalf of the team, but Joel is doing his best to carry the team and getting double or triple coverage every night. He's not a 5.... Looks terrible in the middle and is probably hurting his chances to get in the NBA to do what he's being asked to do by his coach!

It's ok to question his performance and I agree it's not been as expected, but the kid is a beast and plays hard! Very hard! If you have a complaint, send it to Coach Rahe! He's the brains behind this line up! :twocents:

Losing 14-4 in the paint...... We can still get this game if we quit jacking 3's! Need to get going inside the paint!

We are definitely not good.

What's up with running a half court set with 40 secs to go? Put the freaking cards away Duft.

Tough loss, but they fought back and was in position to win! We just got punked in the paint again. I'm not saying we're soft, but we're not tough either. Hajek was rolling so Rahe took him out!

Need to start figuring out who has heart and who doesn't and who wants to play next year!

Right, and the zone finally comes with 10 minutes to go and is effective (Weber turns it into a 1 point lead) and Rahe promptly switches back to man that was routinely worked all night.

How about 20-some-odd seconds left and Golden handling the ball and doesn't have a clue what to do (not a freaking clue what to do) while 4 other Weber players stand flat-footed with 8 feet on the floor! I guess the coaching staff forgot to hold up the play card huh? You know, the one play where Senglin drives right into 4 defenders?

Hill has looked lost much of the season; Bolomboy routinely struggles kicking out of a double/triple team; a soft press is often paralyzing! The last possession, there was essentially 3 defenders in somewhat of a trapping position, picking up the ball about half-court. How can these guys have no clue how to attack this?? Does Rahe not know how to teach these things or are these players not too bright? I've seen MUCH younger, less talented players coached these things.

A lot of my optimism for the rest of this season flew out the DEC windows tonight. What a lifeless performance!

I've never seen Weber get beat up in the paint like this. I know that it's going to be a long season, but want to see us fight back! Why did Rahe take Hajek out when he started making shots? Why did we switch from a zone! Why do we have Freshman Redshirting that could be contributing this year?

NEXT...SAC! 6-1...

I would play a 1-3-1 zone virtually the entire game. I'd mix up defenses and play man on occasion and also, a match up zone that focuses on McKinney. To really screw with the Hornets and to take advantage of our length, I'd even play a box and 1. But mostly sit in a 1-3-1 with Hunter at the 1, Senglin, Hajek, and Richardson/Gittens, and let Bolomboy be the back 1. Totally limit Sacs offensive opportunities. Make them beat us from the outside but putting their shooters in bad situations like double teams and having a man in their face.

After the way we played against ISU last night anything will probably work against us. We got the W but ISU actually outplayed us. I wish I could watch Saturdays game but I'm going to Berkeley to watch Arizona destroy Cal. I'll watch the replay when I get home.

Yeah we got away with one last night. The Hornets got some inside buckets early but then had to grind the rest of the way. Garrity was completely shut down and it was up to McKinney to carry us last night. He bore the brunt of the burden but it was some bench players with some clutch FTs late to get us the win. If Hansen plays in the 1st half we probably lose. Having said that I'll take a road win any way they come.

Okay, so last night was a bit painful to endure through. I left right when I knew Weber would lose, with 7mins to go. A loud, boisterous, crowd and then, the geniuses running the situation at the Dee killed the crowd.

The crowd sits down and goes back into a comma. Right after, Rahe sends out his team sans Hunter and Hajek, two important cogs behind the Cats come back, and then the team immediately started playing man again. Suddenly PSU scores easily and I knew then, it was over. I grabbed the kids and sent the wife up the stairs.

I listened on the radio as I drove home and chuckled to myself. Senglin would try to get fouled and throw up a crap shot. He did and he didn't get the call. I was shocked by Gittens shooting two forced shots with time on the shot clock, but then again, this is a selfish team so it made sense. Bolomboy turning the ball over twice and Golden wasting time with the clock running down. Perfect end for the Vikings. I'm sure they will get a good laugh out of it when the watch the film later.

I don't have much hope left for this season. I will be there tomorrow but I think we will get creamed. Sac State has a good team this year and we have the opposite.

If we win it will be a close one, we never play well in Ogden. From the posts made here the Weber interior is the weakness so I hope the Hornets pound the paint with Stuteville, Tiffin, Hornsby and maybe our freshman Strings will get some action too. For our sake I hope Garrity can find his stride again. His 0 points last night was his first shutout since his freshman year…98 games ago. :o
