I see that former Bears lb Thomas Bauer is going to play for MOntana next season.

Does anyone know where Wiedeman ended up at?

Wiedeman ended up at Glendale Community College in Arizona this past year. Wiedeman has given up football.

Couldn't find the original article but according to Northwestern State, Northern Colorado has 10th rated recruiting class among the Football Subdivision.

According to those rankings, that puts us 2nd in the conference behind EWU's recruiting. I did note that only one Colorado left the state for another school in the conference, though Thomas Bauer's signing at Montana could count as well.

All that said, recruiting's recruiting. Let's play the games.

Nah, I kind of like this recruiting better than playing the games, at least with recruiting we aren't horrifically embarrassed week after week.

Lets hope this class pans out into some improved on field performance.

I wonder how they come up with those rankings?

That was good Blofeld. Maybe instead of recruiting all at once in the early spring, we could recruit them in the fall. You know, bring 'em in "two a week", and introduce them before the games.

GoBears, good question, and I'll try to follow up with Jeremy Crabtree over at Rivals. He's an old classmate of mine in journalism at K-State, so I'll drop him a line when I get a chance and try and get you an answer.

Lets hope this recruiting class is the start of something big.
As for the rankings, I would suspect that there is an error in the calculation somewhere. If you look at what Rivals shows - we signed two 2 star athletes and two no star athletes. If you look at Montana, they signed four 2 star athletes and 9 no star athletes. Given those facts it would be hard to imagine how we rated above Montana.

My guess would be this Florida transfer raised us up and also it was subjective and not based on the "star" system which is of course subjective as well.
