Looks like Bo Levi has expressed his opinion on Baldwin's situation.

That is great!

Is this our mystery candidate?

I think this done by the end of the day today...too many pieces are moving.. Baylor just hired and others are getting done.

I'm seeing some SJSU connections as well. Our top WR commits Hampton and Edwards, as well as Marc Anderson - EWU Dir. of Football Operations have recently followed Korey Geist - SJSU Coordinator of Personnel. Also heard some SJSU coaches/personnel recently followed and unfollowed Baldwin.

If I was assembling a staff Aaron Best would be the first guy i'd lure away from EWU.

Best is an Eagle through and through. He'd probably want the head gig and at Eastern the most.

San Jose State???
Reveagle you are definitely getting after it!
This is also one of the other drawbacks. Kids De-Committing...I get it they are not bound by anything, but we will lose out on some guys.
I wish that the NCAA would really take a hard look at all this posturing and changing and when coaches can talk and not talk and really hash out something that makes more sense.

I'd like to see CBB parlay his success at Eastern into a Pac 12 HC position, but if that isn't possible the MWC isn't a bad move. I don't think Nevada is a bad program...but there is risk involved considering the relatively small budget there.

I also agree with the notion that we'll know something in the next couple of days.

If there's one thing about Chaves, he consistently gets the hiring process right. I'll be very comfortable with whomever he selects to take the reigns if/when we have to replace CBB. My top two choices would be Lake and Taylor.

Thanks for finding the mystery candidate!

This guy has a pretty good resume as well. This should be a race between Norvell and Baldwin. Hopefully Norvell wins and we get to keep Baldwin :D

Baldwin doesn't know how to LOSE :kisswink:

That''s a fantastic deal from Nevada. Three years there and he is a millionaire. Even if it doesn't work out, he can find a job at our level again. But I feel it will work out.

Looking specifically for an offensive minded coach tells me Nevada is looking to energize their fan base (offendive teams are exciting.) If Baldwin can start winning the MWC, he is going to big places.

I'm hearing through "unofficial" sources that this is basically a done deal. What I am unsure of is who he will be taking with him from the current staff. I hope that Chaves anticipated this and has a short list of candidates to replace Baldwin.

Well to add to that do you have him continue coaching during the play-offs?
