Rumor- Collins is staying

So I beg, is there anyway in hell we can get rid of this guy ? I am ready to march to Nortons office ! Dick Montfort please help !!

Yeah, security came into the stands, sat with the fan for a few minutes and then took the sign. It was a great sign I might add, color and all. On the opposite side of the "fire coach Collins" it had Collins' overall record in giant numbers along with his big sky record.

I also noticed today that a police officer escorted Collins to and from the field. Anyone know if this is normal happening?

According to the Box Score on the UNC web site attendance was 3698.

Have you discussed your displeasure in person with Collins in person? I hope so, because if you're just on here hiding behind a screen and kicking a man when he's down, it's not cool. I'm not defending Collins, and EVERY UNC fan should be unhappy with how things are, but there's a lot of crap being spewed on this board and it's very easy to hide behind the computer. Take it up with Collins. If you and your son are so unhappy, maybe just leave the school. Go find some place where you and he will be happy.
 
Bear down. I think you need some time of the boards to chill out. Seem a little upset. But I don't think the right way to go about things is to confront a man 1 on 1 in this situation. Lol. This dude gets paid 114k a year to fail year after year.

My big problem is the attacks on Collins are baisically unsubstantiated moaning by some who had it out for him all season. There is a lot to be critical of Collins for and I think the Bears would be much better off if he was gone but my guess is some of the quitters on the team are as much at fault as Collins is. We are getting very one sided stories here.

I wish we had better and fair reporting from the non-partisan media in Greeley which really only consists of the Trib. Because we don't have that, I am not buying the stories that come from either side. It sucks.

I have noticed a lot of new posters who seem to have joined just to have a go at Collins. I know I shouldn't believe a lot of the first hand stuff, as like you mentioned, we have no third party reporting to verify anything. Maybe it was the frustration of the year that made me start to believe some of the rumors wholesale. My dislike of Collins (as a coach) has grown throughout the season with some of the choices that have been made by him and his staff, but coming on here to talk about how awful of a person he is (which I will admit is uncalled for) is where we should draw the line. Coaching critiques are valid, but personal attacks about his character seem to be a bit much.

I played for him. You guys who watch the games haven't seen what goes on on the inside. That's why posters on here are so disfavorable of him. Former players are getting on here because we care about the sake of the program. My good friend plays for the team currently and the shit I hear that is still going on is just shocking. I just wish that things would change. This program is an embarrassment and I'm embarrassed to say I even played here due to collins and his actions.
