UNC vs. Chadron State

Lindy's journal has picked Chadron State as pre-season 3rd ranked team in D-II, Danny Woodhead as pre-season POY. Not really any surprise there.

Yeah, we're fooked...

Actually I think the Bears will play like....a cornered Bear. There is a big pride issue here being that Chadron is D-II and RMAC. I would scratch and claw with all my might to keep from losing this one. Downside is, it could be a back breaker for the rest of the season if it goes badly.

Montana State was grossly overconfident against Chadron last year, and bumbled, fumbled, and stumbled into a big deficit before trying to get back into the game. Chadron had a great defense last year, and most likely will be better on that side of the ball this year.

The Bears will be anything and everything BUT overconfident.

The Hawaii game is a money game and an opportunity to play a very good D-1 squad, the Chadron game again, is for survival.

You've got a point Jars. MSU played Chardrone right after they beat Colorado, so naturally they were a little overconfident.

The key to the game on offense is to strike early and often, so they have to pass more and not use Woodhead so much.

The bright side to the game?! We might be able to watch the best running back in all of college football.

If we don't want to sit in the visitor section where would be other good seats? Sat in the student section last year and it was ok. Get to be behind the visitor bench that way. Any thoughts?

They seem to move the visitor section every year, so I am not sure if it will be on the east or west side. It may be on the south-east side, which is behind the visitors bench. They might move it to the south west side, which is behind UNC's bench. Other than the student section, there are some chairback seats near the 50 yard line on the west side. It is a pretty basic stadium, and if they follow what they have done in previous years, once you get in you can sit pretty much wherever you want, except premium sections (ie chairback).

Here is a seating chart:

Look foward to seeing you at the game

Thanks for the info. I have about 10 people in my group that I need to get tickets.

I predict tickets to be easy to get, and your best bet for a middle of the field seat will be on the visitor's side, I plan on making an appearance over there to heckle everybody.

Chadron is a good D-2 team, a very good one, but we will overcome. God damn right we better overcome or I'm cutting UNC off.

Why would you write off your school for losing to a better team? Sorry eastcoastbear but the Eagles are a better team then our beloved Bears.

This will be a game folks, any projections at this point is ................Pointless.

It is an important tilt no doubt. We gotta begin somewhere.

UNC isn't getting much love from bobcat nation.

Of all teams that should be scared of UNC MSU may be #1, they are due to lose to UNC, they have barely squeaked by for awhile now. Of all the boards in the BSC that one has the biggest homers of all, after all of the issues through their program, from the coaching staff to the issues on the streets they still think they will go 9-2 or 10-1 this season.

Wow that is a first PSUViking - Sticking up for UNC

But I agree with you, MSU is probably the most overrated program in the 'Sky right now, and they beat us by a whopping 3 last year, and we get them at home this year.

Reality is going to hit MSU hard, by the end of November they will appreciate coach Kramer more then they did before. With all the issues they had off the field I expect bad results not just this season, but down the road to. Who wants to go to a school that could be on the verge of probation?

I was at the Chadron State/MSU game last year. Chadron will be a much tougher opponent than MSU this year.

Here is a copy of the new york times that will be out tomorrow on Danny Woodhead. He had 290 yards in today's opening game.
See you in 2 weeks :D
