UNC vs. Chadron State

Great stat for this game, Hawaii only ran the ball twice yesterday, both times they fumbled. At that pace Woodhead will fumble 30 times next week :P J/K It may have been UH's 5th string RB but it was a good sign.

BTW Brennan set many records, 1) passing yards in 1 half(416) 2) TD in 1 half(6) and 3) completion's in 1 half(32)

Yeah, sounds like the Vikes have enough problems of their own in the Rose City. I am very disapointed in your loss. You should be contending for the conference title and it's not a good start

Red zone offense killed us, we had 4 times where we reached the 2 yard line and had to kick a FG. It was #5 McNeese State, few schools(including Montana) beat them there. We have a much easier opponent in UC Davis at home this week.

My prediction for the game: CSC 42, UNC 17. This one won't be close. Woodhead will dominate.

No way. The Bears' front seven is arguably the strongest unit on the team. Also, the Bears aren't two touchdowns worse than Washburn. Vlahogeorge throws three touchdowns and the Bears win, 38-21.

Dang Beardown you really think CSC is going to lay 6 TD's on us? We're soft but we held UH to 9  From what I can tell. the Bears held their own for the most part in the second half against the 2nd and 3rd strings of UH. I guarantee those guys are a lot better than what CSC brings to Nottingham.

I doubt it will be a blowout in either direction, but I have to go with the bears by 10 - mid 30's to mid 20's.

I hope I am wrong but I don't think you guys realize how good this team is. This Woodhead kid is about to have his 9th career 200 yard rushing game against us. Our run defense is horrible. CSC is just a better team.

Our run defense is vastly improved this season, and is perhaps the strongest facet of our game. Woodhead is good, but one man does not a team make. CSC really doesn't have much else to compliment Woodhead, and overall the Bears are the better team. We won't be overlooking them like Montana State did last year.

Wow there seems to be a lot of negativity towards the Bears, but i can understand it has been awhile since the glory days(back when we dominated D-2). I really think the they are working through the transition pains, it is a HUGE jump from D2 to D1. We are still working on getting the D1 caliber athletes, not to be condesending but the players we have are really still D2 players it will be a few more years before we are a complete D1 team I think.

But that said GO BEARS!!!

If they didn't have anyone else to compliment Woodhead they wouldn't be ranked in the top 5. I don't think anyone else here realizes how good this team is.

It seems to me that you don't realize that this is not the same Bears as we saw lsat year. Outside of a couple of returns, we played Hawaii's second and third team, which is a talent level equal to the Big Sky, evenly. Chadron's defense gives up 410 yards per game and their passing game isn't very good at all. The Bears had better win this game or it will be an embarrassment to the program.

They are still a top DII school and we are a bottom tier(hopefully that changes rapidly) DI-AA team so the talent is fairly close. I still think UNC will win but I dont think it will be a push over.

From all reports, the 'bows could have named the score - they let off the accelerator so as not to hit 100 and embarrass "the program" any more than they did.

UH pulled the starters but that is all they did to get off of the accelerator. They threw the ball 60 times and only rushed 10. They also "went for it" on fourth down four times. Trust me they were trying to score the whole game. The point is that once the starters were out the Bears held their own.
I seriously doubt if your eagles are going to come into Nottingham and have to worry about playing your 2's and 3's against us so as not to "embarass" us.

Hawaii destroyed UNC on every side of the ball, Offense, Defense, Special Teams, you name it. But CSU is not Hawaii! UNC did better then Lousiana Tech, Utah State, and Idaho against UH. I think the UNC team will refuse to lose Saturday.

Not to pick nits, but one of your colleagues said a loss to CSC would embarrass UNC. I hope you are prepared to possibly be disappointed.
